Just want to say thank you Bernie Williams for your inspiration and gratitude, in 1994 I buried my mother in Puerto Rico on Sunday, my cousin took me to see the Lobos of Arecibo practicing later that week and you were there saying hello to everybody, and you stuck your hand out and shook my hand and said thanks for coming and autographed a baseball for me which I still have and is in my son's room on display. Man, that took away all the pain I had, and just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Dios te vendiga siempre. 🙏🙏😂❤🩹
The mere fact that a BUNCH of Red Sox fans weighed in on this post to show love and appreciation for Bernie says volumes about his artistry and character, despite the rivalry and the fact that they probably hated him on the field. Kudos Bernie. You are and have
always been a class act.
From a life long Red Sox fan, this is absolutely beautiful. Bravo Bernie bravo.
Same here! Lifetime Red Sox fan through bad and good. Hated a lot of Yankees over the years, but never Bernie. I just saw him on a video from Playing for Change channel. the song change. Playing with a bunch of elementary school kids at 1 minute 46 into the video. Then I went to Google!
Every time I hear Take Me Out To The Ballgame I think of my grandfather and smile. He loved nothing more than America’s past time, and even tho he was a die hard Red Sox fan he would have enjoyed this performance by Bernie.
Rest in peace Pops, I love you.
One of the nicest people I've ever met. He comes every so often to our jam in White Plains New York playing guitar so humble just one of the gang down here at Ron Black's Beer Hall not a celebrity just one of the gang when he's there.
17 people seriously need an educational. Bernie is a legend and not a bad guitarist.
Baseball ,,, nothing else compares
Thank You , to Mr. Bernie Williams
Got chills just from the beginning when bob sheppard was announcing bernie williams...thanks for all the great years, bernie!
I loved a lot of Yankees when I was a kid, but Bernie is one of the few I genuinely loved as an adult. The only Yankee to hit 2 postseason walkoff homers -- including the one that won the Jeffrey Maier Game. A true Renaissance Man. I still wonder what could have happened if Bernie got his guitar, Paul O'Neill got his drums, they taught Tino Martinez to play bass, and got Derek Jeter as the heartthrob frontman. Then again, Jorge Posada has been called the "Ringo" of those Yankees. The ears?
To watch one more game with the 90s Yankees. How time flies.
I have a dream to watch a ball game at Yankee stadium. From Brazil.
miss watchin bernie play, one of the most classy, loyal, and best players ever to play the game. god bless you bernie thanks for all the years
this video makes me want to cry, growing up Bernie Williams was my #1 favorite baseball player and now he is retired because he wasnt garanteed a spot for center field in 2007, it pisses me off so much and now he is 41 and yankees wouldnt resign him, I hope they retire his #.
Great Song Bernie we miss u Forever a NY yankee
Perfection. Yankee Stadium. The ballad cord changes are dream-like and I remember everything from being a kid play ball to watching great games. Goodness how I love the game.........
This song is fantastic! I hope you get the Grammy, Bernie !! A true home run!!
still love this. i so miss the old stadium and the Yankees of the late 90's
Beautiful instrumental rendition of baseball's signature song...
One of my favorite yanks of all time
On my birthday at yankee stadium i caught a foul FLY ball hit by B.W..2nd tier up, 3rd base line....did i say it was on my birthday!?...IT WAS THE BEST EVER!!!
I miss watching Bernie play...and I miss Yankee Stadium.
Makes me shed a tear of joy.
@M nobody is disputing the overalls popularity of soccer. Weird thing, only America calls it soccer, troll alert. Thing is, America loves baseball. It’s always there. To us, I’m suspecting you are American, baseball has that same romanticism. You want one that statistics guy, fine. But, don’t s*** on those of us that are baseball fans. And, I love futból.
@M BTW, more people attend music concerts than watch soccer.
Miss him on the field
even as a red sox fan,you have to appreciate this, amazing. was on espn firsttake, and i bought his new album, just amazing
this song is my new favourite song, I will sing it everywhere where I go :)
Great Song from a Great Ballplayer and Recording Artist.

i'm a sox fan, and this rocks
you have got to love bernie williams
This is just great can't say anymore.
Way to go Bernie! Love you!
Totally awesome video, I'm a lifelong Yankee fan , and this is the Stadium I grew up in , walking into it on a summers day you could feel the ghosts of legends past and of the legends being made . And Bernie is definitly a Legend..
Nice. Good arrangement and he can certainly play. Deceptive just like in his baseball playing days. Looking forward to that album.
Good stuff ! As a guitar player, and a baseball fan. I highly recommend this cut.
Music is not simply bound or limited to songs with words; music can be so many things including bare beats without melody.
Those Harmonics at the end......what a beast
Superb..
Absolutely made me cry!
seems like everyone loves bernie
that's so cool! enjoying his two passions: music and baseball :D
Great song. This was transcribed in Guitar Player magazine a year or two ago.
An absolute class act
So gorgoeus! ...Thank you!
Thank you for the memories, Bernie. You're a class act and we love you! God bless you and God bless the Yankees~
WOW!
Awesome
go sox! but also go Bernie! being a good musician and baseball player at the same time is amazing. People struggle with being good at one thing.
Massic respect and love for Bernie and this song! This kinda thing is just another reason why your (American) sport is way better than anything we (the english) have! A family day out to the football ground isn't exactly common round here. lol
Excellent!
Bernie is boss..he can really pick that guitar! Nice tune..gotta here more.."Take me out to the ball game's a gem..that tune & 11-others can also be heard on Ace Diamond's "PLAYIN BASEBALL-CD..check it out! Go, Bernie..go!
i love this sound just like beautiful and comfortable .
bernie you got a plenty of talent not only baseball skill though.

RIP Bob Sheppard
A class act, a gentleman, a great baseball player. How I miss seeing him in pinstripes.
Bern baby bern!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
wow
I saw a Great You Tube video of Getty Lee. of the band RUSH. and how he loves. baseball and all of his Baseball Cards and Autographed baseballs. he has, th4n I saw a video. of Bob Weir. or The Grateful Dead. saying how much he loved Baseball " Giants Fan". and how he many times had a tv set up while the dead played live so he could watch the game. The Great American song writer John Hiatt. has a cool video. of him talking about how he became a STL Cardinals fan. and his love for Baseball Cards. and everything Baseball. The lead singer for KISS. worships Baseball and knows about the4 history
great guitar technique
Anyone disliking this video has no soul.
Still hurts to think my favorite ballplayer growing up has been out of the game going on 7 years. Also hurts that the first centerfielder since Mickey Mantle to have a sustained prime in which he averaged better than a .300/.400/.500 line has already been removed from the hall of fame ballot after two years. Whether he is a hall of famer is up for debate, but that debate should still be happening!!!
Wow
Bern Baby Bern
agreed
Is this royalty free?
Go Falcons!
Bernie WIlliams was one of the finest hitting center fielders of one of the greatest eras of Yankee baseball. To label this "Former Yankee plays guitar, etc..." is like watching Franics Scott Key pen the National Anthem and labeling it, "Lawyer pens a poem while watching bombardment of Ft McHenry" or watching Mickey Mantle hit a homerun and labeling it, "Baseball player hits a ball out of Yankee Stadium". Not much credit for a member of legendary Yankee team!
A huge part of me stopped giving a shit about the Yankees after they let Bernie go.
I had no idea he was a musician he kinda like the late Wayman Tisdale huh y'all know who he was huh????!!!!..a basketball player and jazz musician..I despised Bernie and the Yankees they always won the Series every year
He's great-check him out in this video watch?v=mrzOiELV-ws
surely "music video" simply means video to music? I'm just saying, it's kinda in the name... If someone had called it a song then you'd be right, since songs ALWAYS need lyircs (hence songs lol). Music does not require lyrics, unless you're SERIOUSLY suggesting that Mozart didn't write music? 's your call bud lol
Bernie Rocks but Yankess Suck . Go SOX!
