  • Oak Lawn is a high-energy and super-fun neighborhood just minutes from Downtown to the north. It's a welcoming neighborhood and is the LGBT center of Dallas. Here we learn more about Dallas Pride and the parade that takes place every September here along Cedar Springs Road.
Oak Lawn is filled with unique retail boutiques, shops, eateries, bars and dance venues. We visit a neighborhood landmark, Lucky's Cafe, a retro diner with farm fresh food. We also hit the Cedar Springs Strip, which hosts the area's best bars and clubs, and explore S4, a huge nightclub with several bars, a great dance floor, and a drag show that runs nightly.

I'm from Brazil but lived in Dallas for 3 years. Have been to Oak Lawn - Ceadar Springs a hundred times and had always so much fun. No matter what your gender, color, nationality is I assure you will have a great time. The best neighborhood in Dallas, withou a doubt. Miss it so much :(

I left Dallas in my early 20's. But I started sneaking into the gar bars of Oak Lawn while in high school in the late 80's. The good times I had at The Village Station, JR's, Big Daddy's, Blue Parrot and The Wave will last a lifetime!

This is beautiful place to live. What I love about the video I just watch was how friendly the people are. Also the LGBT community that they celebrated in here is on September. Man I wish I could pack my bags and live in the best gay neighborhood that they have there. I would have a very good time live in Oak Lawn Texas. Since my community
    where pride begins.❤❤😍

I lived in Dallas for 10 years and worked at Throckmortan Mining Company. It was the best time of my life and I miss it very much.

Such a fun and great area. As a white straight man you’ll feel very welcomed. It’s Texas after all. Great restaurants, and also very clean.

Lived just a couple houses away from Lucky's 30 years ago. Never went. Our favorite place was Snookie's, just across the street. It no longer exists nor does the cool as shit house we lived in. But nothing but good memories from back in the day.
