It's important to own your losses as well as your victories and share the lessons learned, and this one is probably our favourite.
The yellow and white boats are arguably the fastest Blown Alcohol boats in the country, their engines alone are comparable in cost to our entire turn-key package, and the Barra was able to out accelerate them and hang with them for a lap until a water jet in the second corner hurt our turbo and we gradually fell away.
We have since implemented protective measures around our turbo and upgraded ignition system which have so far yielded excellent results. Looking forward to our next hit-outs with the big guys.
