Bro, this has been the most helpful video I've seen on LEDs. Thanks!!
Dude!!!! I'm so glad to hear that!!! That's literally all I wanted out of that, make your experience easier than mine!!!
This helped a lot thank you literally the only video that explain everything that I needed
Carlos!! Thatâs awesome man!!! Thatâs all I wanted to do make sure everybody didnât run into the same mistakes!!! Glad I could help out
What was so important about this guyâs video that I needed to watch it before purchasing any Govee product
Thanks this video was really helpful & honest I appreciate that. The best video I seen concerning Govee LEDs lights đđŒđđŒ
Hey @RM J. I appreciate it! Hope it helped you out!
Thank you so much for the video, I really needed this cause it's my first time putting LED Lights in my roomâ€đđŸ
Dope! They look great in your space. Thanks for the review
My boy!!!! Just trying to get like you!!! We gotta run some zone??? Also how you liking the R6?
The lights arenât the problem u installed it wrong. Ur supposed to plug the 2nd strip into the hub not into the 1st strip. Thatâs why 2 wires come out of the hub
Your videos are absolutely amazing. I like this video
Oh this video was awesome. Thanks so much! I might put some up at my brother's house. Thanks for the detail review. It helped me pick the LEDs I want!
Awesome! Thanks for the comment and glad I could help, hope they come out great!
What did you pick out?
Dope, thanks for the help. Really interested in you doing a review on the govee flow light bars and the new glide
Dude right?! I should totally get those, they would def add to the gaming setup!
Omg. This is a lot I don't have patience for. I am so glad I clicked on your video. Iâll pass on them! Thank you for your honestyđâš
Haha it's a lot easier with guidance like this video. I don't think you'll have as hard of a time as I did. But glad I could help in anyway.
Yeah I wouldn't go by this guy's video he's a beta male and is incapable of handling a third grade project.
And not to mention he bought the beginner kit for newbies. Govee are the simplest LED lights you can get plug & Play.
I don't know what's wrong with this guy but he obviously has some issues.
Thanks brotha for the great info!!!
Dude yezzzziiirrrrr!!!!
Looks dope! Keep up the content
Thanks for the support fam love you
Those lights make your room look way better!!!
Thank you!!!
Thank you for this you helped me alot dude !
Awesome! Glad it worked out!
Great Review, Thanks!
Awesome Ryan thanks for watching!!!
Bro i was watching that apex gameplay the wholllllle time you had that timelapse hahahaha but yo man those LED strips are seriously a science project hahaha
can you control two different, let's say 5 meter led stripes at the same time with the app? (goove)
Man, this was amazing. Hope you keep up the great work!
That little scene got me to like it. đ
haha which one?
You have to connect the second pair to the 3 gold lights on your other pair of led lights ..
Hey @Str8myaa are you asking me or just letting me know? Lol I eventually got it figured out
so if I cut 5ft, and say I wanted to put that 5ft strip around my monitor, would it also require an additional power supply? If the main strip is already split around my room?
If it's 5 volt i suggest a separate supply for ever 5 metre length as voltage drop is significant!
I had bought 64.8 Govee led lights but they got tangled and now they wonât work. Parts of it work but not all of them
do yk any suggestions for the channels? because the dimensions are confusing with the govee lights
I don't have any recommendations, but I know that channels are not one size fit all, they require a little diy of cutting and measuring yourself.
Struggle. Thanks for sharing the pain that o may not have as much while I hang some up for my daughterâs room â
Can you help me with mine lol Iâm lost I bought the ones that are 2 16inch but the same stupid connections and idk what to do
Of course I can try. On the connections look for the plus sign itâs super small. Then in the actual LEDs youâll see the plus. The issue is you might have to cut the power connector to make it work. Also check if youâre LEDâs are able to be cut before doing that
Was that your first time setting up a LED strip?
I have the Govee WiFi Dream Color Lights in my room and they are super sick. 10/10 recommend :) especially if you have an Alexa!
AWWW jeallous!!! i bet they look good!!!
i love you for this video
Haha thank you! Glad you enjoyed it đ«±đŒâđ«Čđœ
OMG great video and thank you so much. For someone who has anxiety putting anything together and not handy at all this really helped me to decide if I wanted the LED Lights. I think they are really cool but honestly couldn't put it up myself lol.
No worries!!! Glad I was able to help out!! Iâll have a video soon or there floor lamps that might be a fit for you!
@@waddupJRoyce Thanks ya I live in an apartment building thats older with cement walls so it's hard to drill through the walls and ceiling. I'm looking for some kind of lighting for the back of my apartment where I have a small dining table.
@@OriginaMrHoneytongue ohhh definitely keep your eye out for the floor lamp video
Hmmm. Govee says you should never connect them though. Maybe they will burn out or something? I don't understand why there isn't a second power supply included.
It depends on the unit. These were made to be connected and cut. Thereâs are some models that arenât able to be cut.
Like and subbed. People I enjoy
Awesome Dan!!! Appreciate the support!
Hey what's the name of the wire to connect the strips
smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0894R2MS7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are the one's I bought
U should put some in the bottom too it looks even better
Definitely might have to do that!
Great content. I feel the same way bout my friends
Keep your head up and just keep posting your stuff!!! Lol itâs all love
No cap
I was stupid enough fall for the old "other customers also bought these" and ordered a packet of corner connections and sundry!
Silly me, cos I needed them.
Edit: also, don't those strips come with plugs fitted at both ends so they can be joined with an adaptor, or is Govee really stingy?
Double edit: Slide a blade under the tabs on those elcheapo connectors to lift them and provide a loose fit and the cover will force them back into place!
thats what you get for getting it off of amazon rather then from the govee site, which can actually be a better deal sometimes.
Lol when see a title watch before u buy and u ready paid for them đ€Ł
Ooooooffff hope they worked out
Literally
i would suggest diffusion stripps? but you seem confused enough
lol. how many hours did it take you to think of flipping the connection.? shouldn't it be intuition?
Just had the same experience bro with connectors they kinda suck
Yeah man took me forever. So annoying. Lol
Gotta put the strips in defuser
so get one and also get a diffuser to make it professional
Kinda yes lol it depends on the look you're going for. The diffuser will just make it look more professional or sleek/interior designed.
Govee sells a single 32ft roll for people who are not handy đ
Thanks for the heads up Miguel lol
Using the sleeve also makes them infinitely more reusable
Exactly!!!
Sleeve?
@@KakashiH318 he means the LED channel. You can type in google LED aluminum channel. Theyâll pop up.
Where can I watch you play apex?
Great video, but I wanted to kindly let you know it's "frustrated" not "fustrated". :)
Why donât you upload anymore?
Hey Bro! I've been posting on tik tok and haven't found much to post on youtube. I want to get back into youtube, but my main things are like weightlifting fitness and like some man's lifestyle stuff. Idk I need to get back to it though.... Thanks for the comment
good conhead
Thanks for saving me some money - I'll get some higher quality lights.
Glad I could help out!!! Govees got some good higher end models
Fair enough, they tho have the RGBIC led strips which is MUCH better ( you probably know that by now but Iâm just telling) the problem with the lightstrip not having an adapter, you are not supposed to make it 10 meterâs long all in a row. There are two separate rolls of strips for a reason: to make it split/ go in two directions đ
Song at 0:36?
Bro I wish I knew the name, but it was a sound I took from tik tok when it was trending
@@waddupJRoyce lol its ok. U helped me tho, I searched it up as tiktok dramatic music trend instead of just dramatic music sound effect and I found it! đ€©đȘ
czcams.com/video/TR4VC4N6WHU/video.html
That is a lot of effort for something that should have been $3 for LEDs and 2 minutes work.
I mean you could def go for cheaper lights, but I like the Govvee brand. As far as the work goes definitely could've been quicker, but hopefully, by watching my video no one else runs into the same problems I did đ
Wow, shouldâve watched this before I bought Govee...
P.S. clean your room
Haha got you fam âđŒ
Govee is the shit. Dreamcolor is where it's at. Plus I don't think I needed adapters. Everything was built in
You can say that again! Haha have you seen their light bars?!?
@@waddupJRoyce yeah got the immersion tv lights so I kinda don't need them but want them to add to my effects. So badass for games n movies
@@dmo848 yeah I got to check the immersion ones out. But want those light bars for my desk with the dream color.
anybody else notice his beard drastically grow mid video ? đ
shhhhhhhh lol
ok
U should try the RGBIC Pro I got them they are amazing
Dude yessss getting those when I move in 2 months I'll let you know!
your video/audio is off sync very slightly. and no its not me or my mac trust me, just look very closely which I didn't have to do. anyways I still like your video and I put this up in my daughters room and let me tell you it does look very cool she loves it but now she wants one more! friggin led lights!! LOL
Haha I've gotten better since this video, but appreciate the feedback! Glad your daughter likes them!
@@waddupJRoyce believe me I was worse. Mine were off 1,2,3 seconds back then when we had to sync videos manually using budget editing software that didn't include sync features. So since I spent countless hours looking at videos and syncing I can now spot them easily. But it doesn't take away from your message. From one editor to another we learn from each other and a positive critique only helps
This guy must watching airsoft GI cisco lol

Why wouldn't you put the led strip into a conduit instead of just taping it on the wall...đ€Ł
Because the installation of isn't the same. And these lights specifically come with 3M adhesive to be stuck to a surface. And I'm not sure what a conduit is, but if it's what I googled how would the light pass through?
Clearly says on packaging what you get. Who's the dumb one for not checking if they come with adaptor?
Peace and blessings â€ïž
That looks like the old goove
Why in the world didnt you show us the cut and how so we dont freak out. You said it was sketchy yet didnt show us so we still dont know what you are talking a out with cutting them
I think electronics should be left untouched if someone finds connecting and stringing LED strips together difficult...
And where did they teach us that in school?
Working with LED lighting is not as simple as it looks. Beyond the technical, there's aesthetics you really need to consider as well. On the technical, not all Govee strips are 10mm for one, the M1's are 12mm and it's not easy to find 4 pin 12mm connectors...my particular challenge. For aesthetics you really don't want LED's visible. Ideally, they should be hidden by ledges or behind objects so all you see is the light and if you can't do that you want diffusers to hide them, the look is night and day better. Even with diffusers you need to be cautious of LED brightness and diffuser distance from LEDs to not show hot spots which is basically seeing each individual LED anyway defeating the purpose of the diffuser. It's also real easy to go overboard and turn your space into a brothel, another tip to be aware of, less can be better. Definitely pays to do thorough research and planning on these projects and this video is a great lesson for folks looking to get started.
Donât get the Dreamcolor WiFi he showed in the video, get the newer models like H6145 or 6.
The Dreamcolor WiFi he showed in the video is extremely outdated
@@trainM8 ohhh snap!!! Good call can you actually link me @trainM8 I was looking to buy some more!! đđŒ thank you

looks awful sorry. U should use some diffuser channels to hide hotspots
He shouldâve watched other You Tube videos before he tried to hang up his own LEDs,Govee has many videos that show you how to connect strips together, research!!
Do not buy govee LEDs I had mine for a week and 3 of the tiny blue LEDs in the LEDs broke
And 3 months later half of the LEDs are broken
Hue lights are better.
This is why u canât even put up some lights itâs just wonky đ I have in bedroom 5 rgbic strips like a boss and itâs way better that yours đđđ Iâm shaming you right now lol
Haha send over some of those lights!
THIS BRAND is F*N expensive BUY DAYBETTER OR Nexillumi , I HAVE Both of them, easy works great & dose the same shyt,, better an that ripoff!
Thanks for mentioning those Iâll look them up

Sorry I can't trust someone who can't pronounce words and feels the need to spell them out loud for no reason.
Which word would that be?
A complete waste of time video has nothing to offer
Wth is wrong with this guy? Itâs a TV backlight right? Why is it on a wall. Very weird. Also, why would anyone go to Home Depot for an LED lighting adapter? He might as well have gone to Bed Bath and Beyond. Strange video.
These are not tv back lights, but Govee does offer those products. Lol and whatâs wrong with Home Depot and lighting adapters very logical place to think of đ€. Thanks for watching!
