FIRST Soybean Planting Video for the 2023 Season | John Deere 7810

- As the weather warms up and the fields are drying out farmers were getting in the fields in western Ohio and I had the opportunity to video this farm planting their first soybeans for the 2023 season. This was in a Miami County Ohio field just outside of West Milton.
In the video I have many different views with drone footage of all the action of this John Deere 7810 Tractor pulling a Deere 1790 12/24 row planter.
I drove a 7810 with an IVT transmission it was kinda cool. It was the first JD tractor that i drove

My brother had a 7810 at one time.
His latest addition to his farm is a 8R 410 can’t wait to get some seat time in that.
The 7810 was a really good looking tractor IMO. I have always thought that. I have several sales brochures for them from back when they were current production.
My favorite tractor we ran a kmc 6 row strip till with 6 row John Deere planters had to fill all the tires up with water but I got the job done here in south east Alabama

7810 is one of the best tractors john deere built. My seat time in one had a 20 speed powerquad. Stout and nimble for the size.
We’ve not started yet here in north central Indiana, be about another week or so for us. Great video 👍

@@King_Randy yeah we’ve got a neighbor who’s doing corn and beans, I checked the soil temp this morning still in the mid 50s, we like it to be up more.

Most folks use the markers when starting a field.

The euro jd 7810 are very sought after in the UK. But we have pickup hitches. Even high hour ones go for £40 thousand +.....

Hey Mike did you like the 7810 when you used to run one? It’s one of my favorite tractors I think they were very versatile and excellent quality.
Yes I did, The farm I help on now has a 7830 and I like it. We just don't use it much other than side dressing corn and the grain drill in the fall for winter wheat.
Why did he use his row markers part of the time but not all of the time?
He is using markers for the head land and starting the first pass on the field, after that GPS takes over.
What's the GPM for 7810? Handles vacuums and blower just fine?
