I just picked up my iPhone 13 (non pro) 256gb variant way back on March 10th. And I'm gonna keep this iPhone in the next 3-5 years cause this is my first iPhone that I bought with my hard earned money. I came from the regular iPhone 6 plus way back in 2014 and I gotta say that it was such a huge jump for me to upgrade to the 13.
I still am getting IOS 16 on the 6 plus to be honest. What more on the 13😍. I'll be upgrading again after 3-5 years. It's that simple. Technology these days are upgrading so fast as in RAPIDLY. And once new phones have been released the "new" phones from last year will start to fade or phase out in the long run. Up until you cannot buy an iPhone 13 anymore let's say in the next 3-5 years depending on Apple's terms and decision.
To those who wants an iPhone that can perform better than their old IOS device or even android? I will recommend the iPhone 13 and 13 pro and 13 pro max. If you're low on funds. Stick with the iPhone 13. The only problems I have with my iPhone 13 is the performance. I mean yeah sure I get the 4gb of RAM with a chipset of A15 and if ya'll are a gamer like me. The iPhone 13 pro and Pro Max variant is the way to go. IF you have the extra cash to spare.
Those who have the iPhone 12, 12 pro and 12 Pro Max? I suggest to stick with it just to save up more and upgrade to the iPhone 14 series or the iPhone 15.
Such a solid iPhone that I have here and I have no other complaints other than the performance when it comes to gaming. I'd prefer the Pro and Pro Max variants since their Chipset are way faster since it has 5-core GPU compared to the regular 13 of 4-core GPU.
My budget was pretty tight so I went with the iPhone 13 instead.

For me gaming is absolutely fine on the regular 13… and I won’t say pro variants have a way better processor, it just got an extra gpu core which may come in handy while rendering something graphic intensive or playing a game but just by a very little teeny tiny diff
So what are the prices for the 12 and 13, and which should I get?

I’m using a 13 as it was a much needed upgrade from my 7 plus with 73% battery health
I currently use the iPhone se 2020. It still works fine, but i upgraded to the regular 13 for the better battery life and the better screen.

Ive had the mini, regular 13 and the pro and to me the screen you kinda get used to what your using what I will tell you is the camera on the pro is absolute beastly this should tell you how good it really is even knowing the no pro versions have excellent cameras

I have an galaxy S10 and i want soon to switch to iphone 13 ( i wish i could go for 13 pro but here is a bit too expensive). It's still worth to buy the simple 13 despite the extra 2gb ram and 120hz refresh rate? I really like the blue or midnight colors. Thanks!
If your budget is not high enough for the pro, then it's okay as long as you won't miss the better camera and telephoto, promotion, higher display brightness, the better battery, and the more premium design with the stainless steel and matte back glass finish. But the regular 13 is already very good at these aspects. Just don't think about the 14 next year, just go for the 13. As for the 2gb of ram, ios does a very good job of handling the apps so no real difference in everyday use, if you are not a heavy user of course. As for the colors, generally if you will keep your iphone for over 2 or 3 years, choose a classic color, otherwise you are going to get bored of it. The midnight or starlight are fairly good colors, and interesting too as they are not just black and white.

About the 12 pro you are asking, (I don’t know how much does it cost where you live), and it may have a better camera but nothing more. Actually you should avoid the 12 lineup while they start from 64 gb, (even the regular 12 with 128 gb costs only 50 dollars less than the 13), and the most important : they have big battery issues. Most people have said that their 12 or 12 pro’s battery is degrading really fast and it actually gives even less on screen time than the 11. So the 13 is the perfect iPhone right now that has solved a lot of the problems of the past models. Generally, if I could make a suggestion about battery health of your phone, it would be just use the normal charger, and not MagSafe, because of the overheating issues and quicker battery aging.
