He wrote this song at 15 and is so personal to him! I discovered him on 2019 and I have STANED him ever since!!! He said is the Voice that doing Eurovision was his dream and I'm so proud of him!!!!! 2 of the judges of the Voice wanted him so bad that when he didn't choose him they started saying ur voice is not that good, cuz Guy Sabatian fought for him and the next time he said ur just costumes 😏. His voice and perfomances are DIVINE

What I’ve realised is that Eurovision cut the last part of his performance out which I find a little fucked. The song it’s self and his performance is a message about being openly gay “no one would like what I like”. The mask it’s self is how people like him will mask themselves differently to society to often fit in or not be judged, so taking the mask off during the performance was him showing everyone who he truely is, which is AMAZING! But Eurovision deliberately cut out the part where he broke down, couldn’t finish the end of the song and fell to the ground crying before standing back up and to say thank you and I will make Australian proud. The edited version pans out and audibly it sounds like he finishes the song and when the camera cuts/fades back to him, he is standing saying I will make Australian proud. To me that’s wrong to cut out such emotion from a performance.
Correction, he has stated this song is about his Asperger diagnosis. He was diagnosed when he was 6, and was told he was unlikely to ever speak.
Good ballad, very emotional, BUT I would have preferred the electro-metal-pop-rock of "Dreamer" by Voyager: it would have been a more original, modern and unexpected choice, especially in a year full of ballads.
I absolutely loved Voyager, most of my votes went to them on the night BUT if Voyager would have won they would have been compared to The Presets. Eurovision fans pick Australia apart every single damn year and it pisses me off.
