@@lilowattiejaipaulp315 LFSB wanted self reliance for the people of Guyana. Flour was a US subsidy that came with a lot of restrictions and LSFB was encouraging us to plant and grow our own wheat and rice flour. Rice flour sells more today than wheat flour because of its benefits to people with diabetes and other illnesses.
When LFSB visited India, he saw that roti was made from rice flour and was excited to share the news with the Indians in Guyana. Today we’re back to importing everything we need, even the basic foods.
LFSB wants self reliance and sufficiency, why he started the FCH program, built a cotton, glass, auto, and electronics industries. Started free education from nursery to university, so we can build the economy of the future. The ppp came in and destroyed everything and continue to destroy our most precious resource “our human resource “.
