When you said your meal prep was somewhat ambitious, my first thought was "hey, what else are you going to be doing out there in the middle of nowhere? You've got plenty of time to be an ambitious campfire cook!" I'm sure it was worth it. That meal looked totally awesome!!!

Classic Xander right down to the Dino Eggs. Up until today, your video with the 63 billion lights hooked up to the Jackery, was my favorite video. This was hysterical and you cooked the most delicious looking meal to date imo.
If you look at my profile picture you’ll see a cherry pie I baked in my first Svante Freden oven. I used to teach reflector oven cooking classes. I got my first one in 2011 (I now have 2) and the S/N on that oven is 2870. Svante consecutively numbers them. When I chatted with him in 2017, he told me he had just sold S/N 5405. I have over two dozen different reflector ovens and the Svante Freden oven is my absolute favorite in that size class. If you ever consider getting another one, look at the KIHD reflector oven. It’s great too and it’s made in Canada.
I’d say that the first trick to successful R/O cooking is to keep the inside of the oven really clean, otherwise it just doesn’t reflect the heat like it should.
Thanks again for a wonderful video that had me belly laughing and then salivating.

One thing among many I like about your videos, is that you only film the essential. Like when cutting food or wood, you do not use up half the time with that. That makes us see what you experience, not you filming yourself, which many on the tube seem to thinks is what they should film..

Looked amazing! Pro tip for the salmon, try it skin side down first and get it super crispy and then a single flip for a little texture on the top, and at that point it should be totally done. For something like the size of what you had, probably only needs like 5-7 mins total cook time. I've tried it the other way but it usually comes out overdone
