You might wanna look into the Amazing Yamaguchi version of this guy! As far as I remember, that one pretty much does away with all your criticisms of this, as it's a lot more poseable in the hips and feet and has dedicated butterfly-plate-things for the shoulders (hard to describe, just look for yourself). Either way, a lot more dynamic spidey poses. It also has a lot more options for his body-weapons, and the edges of those are actually painted to look sharp. It is heavily stylized though, definitely not for everyone.
AY spider-man series figures in general are amazing. 1.0 and 2.0 spidey, venom, carnage, iron spider, and now agent venom. All are incredible figures but very taxing on your wallet to get if you missed the windows. I'm so glad iron spider got rereleased, I got my black version now and it's soooo good

I feel the same way in most cases. Why spend $25 (I'm American) on a Marvel Legends figure that most often is a basic body with a new head and maybe some extra hands and an accessory when i can by a Deluxe Class Transformer that is a lot more interesting and has more play value with the transformation. Now that's definitely not always the case because sometimes Deluxes can suck or s Marvel Legends figure is amazing like this Carnage. I do still collect both but I'm pretty picky with Legends and I'm less so with Transformers because i almost always know where ther value is with them, I can't always be as sure either Marvel Legends.
The overall sculpt and proportions are more accurate on this one compared to the shf. For the price this figure is freaking amazing. So fun to play with

I have about 90% of the MCU line, I wish they released more of the Sony characters the movies aren’t great but the character designs would be great in toy form, like the Gwen Stacy from amazing 2, the goblin, rhino, Morbius, the Madam Webb characters lol
I’m now convinced that we got the exact same order on CMD store, I got the bumblebee and Orion pack two pack and then the carnage all as one order. I’m moderately confident that we had the same order
I do own the hot toys version. You'd really like it. Yes its hella expensive, but arent most transformers/ 3rd party figures? Ebay would be your best friend for hot toys rn incase you were still interested
The springiness on the tendrils is a consistent issue Marvel Legends has with bendy wire, my VHS 2 Pack Doc Ock is much the same. Regardless, i think i prefer that method over the awkward hinge system S.H Figuarts has and I'm really considering the downgrade!

Ummm actually🤓, the venom symbiote cannonically never attached to spiderman. That means the carnage symbiote made from the venom symbiote never interacted with spiderman either.
My only nitpick, and this is more of a critique on the movie design rather than the figure itself, is I think he’s too tall. Personally I’ve always liked Carnage being smaller than Venom, but compensating for that size difference with his weapons and tendrils. It’s wishful thinking, but I would like it if one of those KO/4th party companies took this mold and shrunk it down a smidge (kind of like a TF oversized figure, but reversed).
That Carnage can already spread his legs more than most of the Marvel Legends spider-man, lol, you don't really need a drop down hip cause that thing is useless AF and will get loose over time. Jada Toys prove you can do full split without that gimmicky drop down hip.
Can't wait to nab this guy one day, thankfully it doesn't seems he's highly in demand so finding him shouldn't be too hard, unfortunately with venom being a target exclusive Can't say the same for him yet

The Venom is hella nice, great articulation and detail, only problem is the visible pins but they blend in well enough.

The only figures I really like are the Venom Carnage and Deaths Head figures. I like Transformers a lot more.
