I'm... painting with wool?! It's actually called needle felting, but yes, we are essentially painting a picture with wool! I've been wanting to try this for MONTHS, and I'm so excited we can go on this adventure together! This is a form of art that is completely NEW to me, so the enthusiasm in this video is very high. Energy overload. Haha. :)

That sound is So satisfying I love it!!!
I’m making a felted gnome for my mother in law for Christmas because she collects gnomes, lol. You have to remember that those needles are barbed along their entire length so that they can pull the wool fibers up through each other and ‘knot’ them together in a way.....which is why they hurt a lot more than just a sewing needle when you stab yourself. Always keep your fingies far far away from the needles of doooooom! Picture turned out awesome and you’re awesome too!

Finding new art mediums and different ways to make crafts is literally the best feeling
Gosh, you such a little ray of creative calm. I'm a new subscriber (from over the pond) and I really enjoy your content. I've found getting all cosy and sticking on a few of your videos makes me feel so peaceful before I go to sleep. This looks so much fun. If i didn't already have a bazillion art supplies and ideas and not enough room or time for them, I'd seriously consider giving this a go. I had a little thought when you folded the edges round and realised it was smaller than you anticipated, maybe, next time, you could mark where the edges of the felt are at the top and sides of the polystyrene plastic foam stuff, so you have a guide as to which bits overlap the edges. But yes, I vote for another needle-felted picture, big, small, or medium, I'd love to see one. Or how's this for a crazy idea, what about a Bob Ross painting in needlefelt? 🤩 Thank you for the content and all my best to you.

Thank you for doing the voiceover. I know people like the ASMR stuff, but I'm one who's bothered by it, so I like that you gave both a bit of the sound at the beginning, and a voiceover at the end.
This came out really gorgeous. Needle felting is really easy, just time consuming. Good on you for tackling something new. You can also use brushed out acrylic yarn to needle felt with. I get a lot of it thanks to making doll hair.

OMG! This is so cool! I LOVE textile art. I took a lot of costume design classes in college and a lot of that was learning to depart from a regular garment and get abstract and textural and sometimes even sculptural with fibers so I actually had to do lots of assignments that were not costume pieces, but straight up art pieces so I could experiment with that stuff and it was some of the most fun satisfying art I have ever made. I STILL incorporate a lot of textiles in my art now.

My best friend gifted me this same kit and I’ve only made two small projects, but I have a Pinterest board dedicated to needle felting and love seeing painted with wool pictures, and now after watching this I feel encouraged that I can do it too! And yes please to more felting projects, it’s beautiful!

@@MiraByler Ooh, wet felting is brilliant! You wet the wool fibres (the fluff you've got in all those bags! Love all those colours, yum!) and use warm soapy water & friction to 'felt' the wool together. You can sculpt it, make bags & vessels, slippers even or make flat 'paintings' as you are with your needles here 😊 tons of options! Look it up when you have a minute, I'm certain you'll love what folk have already made 😊 another magical creative adventure for you! Have the best time!! This is super cool! I thought about getting into needle felting stuffed animals years ago, but I never got around to trying it. I have never seen the needle felt painting before.
