These tyre air deflators work extremely well. The marked air pressures on the stem makes it even more versatile. The others of this type requires you either using the factory set (18psi) or if you wish to select your own, needing to set them up (which will require a separate tyre gauge - so not ideal if you frequently use different pressures when deflating). But as you've touched on, they are on the pricey side at $119. But if you can afford them, highly recommended.
You touched on some good points. Thanks for watching 👍
They’re great. I get the kids to do it while I sit in the aircon👍
Hahaha that’s awesome I might have to teach mine to do the same 👍
nek minute - 3 tyres deflated and 1 still at road pressure haha. 😜
Hahaha that would be an oops moment for sure 😂
Camp boss tyre deflator are the best thing I own thanks for the video 👍
@Eds4wd&Camping I’m really looking forward to putting these to the test in future adventures. Thanks for watching 👍
We can produced it😊
Nice video mate ✌
Cheers mate, thanks for watching.
I am the factory from China,we have produced tyre deflator for 16 years
I put mine on in the car park, casually drive down onto the beach, when I find a good spot, jump out, unscrew them and put caps back on 👍🤠
If it works for you why not, I’d be too worried about tearing a valve out of the rim. Thanks for watching 👍
@@EveryRoadAdventures , nah never happen, if you’re driving through narrow bush tracks, they could snag but I’ve never heard of it happening 👍🤠
I just leave em on till I need to air back up!
Pace boy, pace. Have a strong coffee before the next video! 🤣🤣👍
Hahaha I don’t drink coffee mate but I get what you are saying. Thanks for the feedback.
Hi after watching this video i got a set im very happy with them. Are you planning on doing any more videos
Hey thanks heaps for watching and I’m glad I was able to help you with you decision. Yeah I am planning on doing more videos in the near future just had a lot in in my private life.
I purchased a set mid November last year and it was a few weeks before I got to try them. They don't work for me. After screwing the BOSS on to the valves, the air is released for a second or two then stops. The air releases when the knob is pulled out then stops when the knob is released. So I may as well just push the valve stem in manually for each tyre.
I have tyre pressure monitoring system on my wheels. I was wondering if this is the reason.
To find out if a TPMS can effect them, I contacted Customer Support through the Camp Boss website on 15th December and never received a reply! There is no phone number or email address to directly contact them either. In my case Customer Support seems lacking. Has anyone had issued with the Air Boss deflators?
Always interesting to see a first impression. Having owned these, did you check the pressures in the rest of the tyres! and were they all the same!.. I would say not. After using these for 3-4 trips, how did they perform? If they are anything like mine, they went in the bin. Totally unreliable and inconsistent. So disappointing, oh... and expensive.
keep working on that delivery bro 😆
Stuans are a total PITA (pain in the ar$e) to use in setting your desired pressure it’s only useful if you stick to that same desired pressure constantly
got myself are set of these much better then the Staun tyre deflatores I had the staun's 1st used them for are few years and had nothing but problems with them coming lose due to vibrations and changing the set PSI not to mention their are pain in the ass to change the PSI back to your set PSI if your in the market for auto tyre deflators then get the camp boss ones.
My mate bought a set, took to the beach with myself and we tested first time. The psi was 7psi off on two of them, another fault one of them didn't stop at the desire setting.
Sorry to say sad but disappointed. I almost bought a set for myself but after this past weekend. I will stick to my kwik ki
Oh wow, that’s out a fair bit, everyone I have spoken to about them have not been able to fault them. Has your mate contacted the seller to have them replaced?
Thanks for watching the video.
@@EveryRoadAdventures I'll see him at work tomorrow, will asked if he have made contact yet. I was just about to order a set but wanted to see how his went before me putting in an order. We both was shock ourselves, we tested times on the beach just to make sure. Hope he get it sorted out. From the reviews I've read and the videos it seems to be best one on the market.
Hopefully he does get it sorted because they aren’t cheap but from my experience with them and other I have spoken to they are great so hopefully he gets a good resolution out of it.
@@EveryRoadAdventures update, he got a refund.
@Anvil Jeeper I believe it was the unlucky ones that is faulty and yes it happens to all makes and models. My mate is back to his kwiki from Kings.
I paid $94.50 from all 4 shop. When you check the pressure with a gauge it is the accuracy of the gauge in the equation as well because not all gauges read correct pressure. Other tests have shown the Camp boss very accurate. No one needs to go down below 20psi really. Have to be extraordinary case to drive with 5psi you might as well drive with a flat tyre.
That’s a good price, when I checked their shop they were just under $120. I agree that gauge accuracy can vary and that is a valid point and like I said 1psi difference in readings is not going to make that big of a difference. As for going below 20 psi that may be because you are driving on soft sand, it’s not something that I do very often but there would definitely be some who do. And yeah to drop to 5 psi would definitely be a last resort measure that you would want to be driving on for too long anyway. Thanks for watching 👍
My go too pressure for sand and very rocky terrain is 18psi. 24psi for long offroad gravel and dirt tracks.
The reasoning to go lower in PSI is dependent on the terrain and the situation. Lowering your psi increases the length of your tyre footprint on the surface that you are trying to drive on. (Charts available online if you google it)
If for example you are stuck on the beach in super powdery sand on a hot day (not your standard beach sand), and you can't seem to gain any momentum without digging down into the sand, reducing your pressure from 20 to 10psi will give you a much larger footprint and allow you to get out easier.
Of course the lower psi you go, the slower you have to drive and the more likely you are to push the tyre off the rim on corners etc.
👍
@Odinson Overland I couldn’t agree more with everything you mentioned here, thanks for the comments 👍
"No one needs to go down below 20psi really."
Since when? 4wders who drive on soft beach sand regularly have to go lower than 20psi.
Couldn’t agree with you more, soft sand definitely requires going lower than 20psi. Thanks for watching 👍
Where are they made?
Hi Chris, thanks for watching, I’m not sure where they are made, that is something that I didn’t notice and the packaging has since bees disposed of.
their Australian Made
Still gotta pump the buggers up
Hahaha yeah normally a sign that the fun is done. Thanks for watching.
A Death Trap Waiting to Happen
Used these on my last trip and had a 20psi variation. When towing a 3.8t caravan, this level of error is totally unacceptable and is potentially life threating in an emergency situation. Steer clear of this product unless you have a death wish.
One of the most painful product reviews I've ever sat through.
