- I'm back in Scotland and back on the beach targeting Bass and Flounder with local lads Steve and John. what a beautiful night for it too.

I have fished Ayr Pier numerous times and never had a thing! In fact, we tried it last night with no luck!

@@GsTiteLines we used to get wee pollak, mackerel, flatties and eels off the pier as kids. It's so different now in comparison to 30 years ago. Do you spend much time in Ayrshire? I'm from a wee village called crosshill, just a few minutes away from maybole.
@wildside fishing the guy I was with was expecting the Mackerel to be in, but there was nothing showing, I'm up here at least twice a year working at the Search&Rescue base at Prestwick.
I carry on to Stornoway tomorrow so lookingvforward to decent fly fishing. Cheers G
