As someone who grew up with kofola I can definetly say that it is my favourite. Maybe it is just nostalgia because foreigners don't like it but there is nothing quite like going to a pub or restaurant and getting a nice fresh kofola from the tap.

I didn’t grow up in the Czech Republic, but my mum is from there and my family went over there once every few years to visit her family. The worst thing about it is that it became my absolute favourite drink as soon as I tried it and it’s very, very hard to get it in Australia. It’s always great when I can find a can of the stuff over here but it’s definitely at its best from the pub tap.

RC cola typically doesn't foam and pop like that when you open it. It may have been the handling, or some other measure taken by the group delivering it. When that doesn't happen, RC takes a different note than syrupiness, and rather, it takes a spot more as something in between Coke and Pepsi as the sort of Middle child.

I was raised in a military family. When my father retired, we settled in his hometown in southern Indiana, USA where I first experienced a beverage called Double Cola. I remember my aunt always having grocery bags full of Double Cola bottle caps that would eventually be traded in for cheap household products. I long ago moved away to the west coast and haven't had a Double Cola in decades but because of your video, I googled Double Cola being curious to see if they still exist. Not only do they still exist but, and this may be of specific interest to you, I learned that in the 80's they were bought by a UK company. I'm unable to determine if they sell their products outside of the US otherwise, I'd suggest you give Doulbe Cola a try.

RC doesn't explode after being shaken up any more than other colas in my experience. They act funny after being frozen or partially frozen though. They also taste slightly flat and more syrupy than normal after that happens. I wonder of that happened in shipping?

I've only ever tasted the two main ones. I've always found Pepsi the easiest to drink, with it giving me less acid indigestion than CC. The same goes for their Diet Cherry that I drink now.

Growing up in the American south every coke was a coke. Some would ask if you want a coke the standard response was yes a 7up,sprite rc whatever. We used coke in place of soda or what ever was common in other places. Which will still confuse newer move ins. Btw my favorite coke is rc
Ever try salted peanuts in a coke? Thats actually a popular snack down here at least with older people. Coke the real one is most popular but I like it with chery coke. Supposed it was a quick and clean snack to eat working in the field or around tobacco. The nuts came in a bag the coke in the bottle you could open them and pour the nuts into the drink and you would not have to touch anything with the chemicals on your hands.

The salt aspect is interesting as I recall someone from the Southern States saying they put salt on Watermelon, so I’m wondering if a lot of it also derives from the body’s natural craving to replace electrolytes from sweating all day in a hot climate. You got a bad batch of RC. No, they should not explode. (That's probably why it was flat when you poured it.) By the way, RC is a regional brand in the US, found primarily in the southern states. It's more difficult to find in places like California or Massachusetts. (I'm in Missouri, and few stores near me stock it.)

I'm American visiting London and I tasted Karma Cola with a meal and all I can say is that it was terrible. It tastes like a basic cola with some weird flavor or spice added to it. I don't know what the off flavor is but it's definitely not pleasant to my palate. Maybe that flavor is common in New Zealand, I don't know but it's not a flavor I've tasted, especially in a soft drink. Also the best way to enjoy a coke is if it's served in a glass bottle at near freezing temperature. The flavors really come together that way.

My mom and I prefer Pepsi to Coke or R/C. No my 12 0ack of R/C did not explode. Our overall favorite is Dr. Pepper. We always have Dr. Pepper at a fast food restaurant.

Kofola requires an acquired taste like licorice. It gets better over time and it doesn't help many people didn't give a chance to licorice.

RC cola tastes the best as ice cream floats by far in my opinion. If you’re thinking about making a float go with RC you will not regret it.

We get it here in Indiana along with Faygo those are the two brands you buy when Coke and Pepsi aren't on sale. We also get Big Red and Big Blue.
