5:30 clip happened in Livonia, MI. My old town. Damn good police department. Good officers too, met quite a few throughout my years living there. One time I raced a guy I went to school with in the next lane over in my S10, he pulled me over and let me off with a warning. I have the upmost respect for them, but I’ll tell ya, I pray for anyone doing something crazy like that guy, cause they will definitely hold you to it!! They don’t mess around

it could also be a road worker, leaving the worksite, they have to get to work somehow too. we dont know why the road is closed, whether its construction or other.

I was a school police officer back in 2015 when I noticed this: a car was the first car at an intersection when I pulled up next to her. She was so distracted that she didn’t see me pull up next to her. I watched her texting for about 10 sec. when the light turned green. After another 10 seconds, I tapped my horn, she looked at me and at the same dropped her phone onto the floor. I told her to proceed through the intersection and to pull into the first driveway and park. She told me that she wasn’t on her phone. I told her to look on the floor and she would find it there. She found it then signed the citation. Thank you for shopping in L.A. County.

People these days have absolutely no idea of the traffic situation behind them. 3.5 decades on motorcycles taught me that the traffic behind is as important as the traffic in front.
When I worked for a public utility, we were taught to constantly scan traffic in front and behind us. It's why cars have mirrors (including the driver mirror). People are just oblivious.
i get antsy if i havent glanced behind me in a bit while im driving. No idea how people just ignore all 3 of the mirrors they have that look BACK and decide "yeah i think ill merge now". Hell, youve got 2-4 big ass windows you can just glance through but i guess looking around is such hard work.

As a semi truck driver, I hate it when people use the shoulder to pass. When in traffic and in the right lane, I look in the side view mirror to see if anyone is coming on the shoulder so I can jump on it, stop and put the hazards on.

Over the last decade, this country has seen a epidemic of big pick up trucks, often with raised suspension, that drive around like big bullies. Not sure what exactly they replaced or if it’s a new bread of jerks.
Had something similar happen. Was in the lane to go straight through and intersection. Guy in the left turn lane decided he didn't want to turn left and cut me off. I slammed on the brakes and left skid marks and a tire squeal. There was a state trooper in the lane to turn right and pulled the idiot over.

Only time someone needs a ticket for having one headlight out while driving down a well lit road is if they already received a warning last week and a week later they still driving around with one headlight. Being ticketed for one headlight is pretty dumb honestly but so is ignoring a warning.
On some vehicles it is a very big deal to change a headlamp bulb. On certain Chevy and GMC pick-up, Tahoe, Suburban, and Yukon models it means removing the bumper and grill to be able to access them. On certain BMW models, Xenon headlamps must be ordered from the dealer and are about $1,500 each plus labour. It is a growing problem.

When I was in elementary school, about half the students (not me included) were all picked up from this one stop. During mornings that were normally very dark.
Several times a week, even though the school bus has it's lights flashing, a car would come barreling down at about 40-50 despite it being a residential area. The bus driver, despite being a sweet lady, would always rage at the reckless driver.
One day, the guy came zooming past the stopped bus like normal, but then got pulled over by a police officer moments later. The bus driver pumped her fist in triumph, as the entire bus cheered.
We never saw the driver again, likely the punishment he received ended the commute he took for a substantial period.
I've never seen karma work so swiftly and effectively. This video is a masterpiece!

#18 - I'm familiar with this stretch of road. One of the lights is completely f-ed on the timing. So traffic coming from the mall/shopping center (usually there is none) has the green light. I once sat at the red light for more than 5 minutes, with no cross traffic, before it turned green. Ragers were out in force running the light and getting mad at the rest of us that refused to break the law (cops are all over this area)

Having ONE headlight out or ONE taillight out shouldn’t really be a stoppable offense IMO. Or it should just be a quick, “your tail light is out, get it fixed. Have a nice day.” I hear ppl argue about checking your lights and whatnot but your tail/headlight can burn out at anytime without you noticing.
A woman who was married to my father asked a cop why he didn't pick one of the other cars to stop that were going the same speed as her. He said he had to start somewhere. I learned young, if you're doing something stupid in your car or truck and someone is keeping up with you, you might as well pull over and stop if that is what you are going to do.
The funniest part of these is every driver who gets pulled over stops right away as soon as the lights come on because the driver knows who the Cop is after !!!! LMFAO
