Well, mate. Just an old texan that loves watching you go about your life. Great to know that no matter where you live, people are doing what they can and must to live. Great to see someone in love with his life work.

Hi, perfect timing for the lazy Sunday afternoon in Europe 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Regarding the gold plated pins - no need to trim them. Don’t waste your time. You can directly strip the gold plating with eco goldex or other gold stripping agent. 👍

I'm glad you've shown how quick and easy it is to scrap out the IP phones, even though I've shown the goodies people say they are not worth it, some makes definitely are and 30seconds work for a mid grade board is never a bad thing! 👍

That sucks about the lock down. Love the street scrapping videos. On a side note, I really enjoy the long videos I have learned alot and might start scrapping on a small scale just because of you and some others. Thanks. I also like the start to finish videos. From the street pick up to the scrap yard.

I think the domestic aluminum pricing boost might be linked to the global environmental initiative many countries have signed into. Essentially the participating countries have pledged to minimize importation of rare metals due to the high carbon footprint of shipping, in favor of focusing on the internal resource economy. Broad strokes, and I may be wrong on more than a couple of the details, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was connected.

  • @hensleyshobbies-doug7761

That's a good deal to strip stuff out but then you end up with a lot of screws, and usually all over the place too, that was my problem, course I generally had a bin to throw the screws in but you still had some that ended up on the ground or what have you and then end up getting a damn screw in a tire, course you always take that chance going into a scrapyard, any scrapyard, picking up a screw or two in a truck tire or trailer tire. But I pretty much always carried a tire plugging kit with me, you know?! Man, I really do miss scrapping, I miss the money but the work too, it was usually good exercise, especially street scrapping or neighborhood scrapping i should say. But here in the states, instead of the garbage truck picking up just every so often, they ran every week.
