  • I’ve been asked several times how do you adjust the WW2 M-1936 pistol belt and also how to attach the M-1910 hooks to the belt so in this video I will simply give a demonstration hopefully this will help those who are wondering thanks for watching the web gear review

    It's only wrong for us at home lol. Good video and thank you, My Grandfather served in WW1 & 2 so when I was a kid (10 years old ) I wanted to start camping he gave me all of his web gear from his time in. The frogs stuff is really tuff stuff. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I do miss those warm beautiful Kansas days in the woods as a child.

    I have a canteen pouch from when I was 10 in 1961. They installed the wire on the pouch backwards but I just put it on anyway and it worked great for many years. Thanks for your great video.

    Those belts are a pain for the wire hooks! Even reproductions are terrible to attach anything. Thank you for your content, I love to watch!

    One of my hooks is a little bent in so I can not get it hooked onto the belt. What's the best way to bend it back into the correct position?

      Use a pair of wire pliers and see if that will work thank you for watching

    Thank You for the video! I am more use to the 1970’s nylon web belt. I’m just wondering which do you prefer the, cotton canvas, or the nylon web? One thing that I've heard is that after a while the equipment eyelets cotton canvas belt can start to pull out, have you ever had that happen? But as for the magazine pouch, you’d think that it would jab into you when you sit down! Oh, by the way, have you ever heard of a U.S. WW2 experimental M1916 cotton canvas .45 holster?

    • @WebGearReview
      @WebGearReview  Před rokem +2

      I like the older cotton canvas stuff better (nostalgia), however the nylon is a better idea also worked great. No on the Cotten eyelets , and no on the holster. Thanks for watching the video

    Thank you. Question. What about stacking multiple items on the belt using both the upper and lower grommets?

    • @WebGearReview
      @WebGearReview  Před 2 lety +1

      I guess you could do that but I don’t think it was a common practice among soldiers because attaching something to the top grommets would be pulling the top of the belt downward might be uncomfortable Thanks for watching

    Are there any tricks to getting the wire hanger through the holes if they don't go through easily? I'm trying to attach my reproduction canteen and medic pouch but the bent part of the wire doesn't slide past the edge of the hole easily. Trying not to force it cause my belt is original.

    • @WebGearReview
      @WebGearReview  Před rokem +1

      You might try bending the wire hanger open a little bit.

    Can you attach an East German grenade pouch to these or are the hooks not right for it? Thanks for your time

    • @WebGearReview
      @WebGearReview  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I believe the East German pouch attached a different way.

    "Iconic" doesn't even say it for this item. Should be standard issue for every American. I own 4 of them, including the original I inherited from my Dad.

    Stop saying OK so much. There is no need for it and its annoying.
    Great video otherwise and I did learn a lot so thank you.
