To make it less sad, that one princess went down in history. And the main story was about a girl having this massive crush on the other girl, and the ghost got them together. A happy, gay ending. XD (Game is Tunnel Vision by NomNomNami btw, check it out.

Okay, so I have something interesting to say about this song. My drama teacher started a musical theatre class this semester and it is my 1st period. Yesterday, she asked us to find a song that describes us, and I chose this song because I feel like it perfectly describes how I feel about most things. One of the many things I love about Thomas is that when he sings there is just so much love and emotion written on his face. Thomas Sanders, my name is Julia. I am 13 years old, and you, my good sir, have been the first person to make me smile since my parents divorce. I just watched this video and broke down and cried immediately after.
You see, with most modern music being about sex, money, and fame, I rarely see music that so effortlessly captures the emotions of just wishing to be alone and collect your thoughts such as this flawless piece of music. And well, since I'm a teen, my blissfully ignorant parents just assume that because I wish to be alone, I must be depressed and need drugs and other things to "fix" me. Yet, it's ironic, that you: a complete stranger have made feel more loved and understood than my estranged mother or therapist ever have.
I know that you have never met me, and I won't pretend that you somehow are my friend, and that you may never see this comment, but I wish to say, thank you. It's people like you that make the painful days just a little more bearable. Thank you, complete stranger, for returning my smile. I love what you do.

1 year later update: Wow. Thank you all so much for sharing your stories with me, it’s so comforting to know that strangers know how I feel and have similar lives as me. Thank you all for the support and I love you all. I’ve read through the replies and I cannot believe how much love there is in the world in places you would never expect. People like Thomas really bring us together, so really, thank you guys. It’s people like you and Thomas that inspire each other to just keep going.

Julia Grace :D You are an amazing human and I had just been crying for half an hour straight but saw your comment and stopped crying! I am 14, and asexual so crying is common for me sadly. I have multiple mental disorders like OCD depression and anxiety. My parents got divorced when I was in second grade. My mom became highly HIGHLY abusive towards me and my dad just became emotional blocked off. This broke me and cause me to have been diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses. Most of which just make it easier for me to sit quietly in my room, content with myself. Which confuses everyone around me. So you aren't alone, my friend. A lot of people relate not only to these amazing songs, but to your kind comment.

This made me cry. I understand you, when you say you like being alone. I haven't been through a divorce but I've witnessed many within my friends and family, as well as having troubles of my own like many who have commented here (anxiety, major depressive disorder, ocd, bpd, paranoia and so on). It's good to isolate yourself to let your mind be free for a bit. It's amazing how much strangers can understand us more than those around us like family - I am very different with mine and am quite frankly closer to my pets than them because of how emotionally unavailable they all are. I hope life rewards you with positivity and strength. Teens are difficult (I should know, I'm 18 and have survived most of them) but stuff that we go through builds us up stronger than we ever thought we could be and that is something to look back on with a smile.
i don't have a sad story to share with you all but i'm glad everyone in this thread is feeling better. :-)

I think this song really brings out the Virgil in Thomas. Not the angsty Virgil that's always super edgy, but the Virgil that just wants to be in a calm environment where he can be himself without being scared of having to interact with someone. He really just wants to be alone sometimes.

It’s 2020, I got to see Dodie in concert and experience her energy. I’ve been feeling really on the edge and self hurty and I’ve been up all night crying but listening to this just clams everything down. It’s so... beautifully simple, elegantly plain, and yet unapologeticly heartfelt.
If I could choose any song to describe me, this would be it. I'm actually going to University to become an ornithologist. This song brings me so much joy everytime I listen to it. Thanks for every you and Dodie do, you guys are the best!

This song helps me so much with my panic attacks, like whenever I'm stressed or feel like I can't breathe right and need to calm down I play this song and it helps me so much, I just picture myself looking at the birds. Once a truck almost ran into my dads car and I didn't really want to have a breakdown in front of my dad so I started playing this song and I felt so much better

I had a panic attack in gym the other day and start to quietly sing this to myself, I still sat out for the rest of the class but it calmed me down much quicker
His voice is very musical theater with vibrato and it's very smooth, while hers is very indie, sort of whispery at times and that sort of talk-tone singing that indie singers often have. I never thought their voices would go together, but it sounds so good!!!
