Hey Justin! I liked hearing your thoughts when you were out & about in the canoe. Being grateful for and enjoying our existence in this world has got to be pleasing to our Creator. Taking some time to express out thanks can ONLY be good! Lake Wesson awaits! I understand about the limitations you have on making custom knives. You are but one... so don't spread yourself too thin!
Thanks for praising the good Lord ! For what he has made us to enjoy !!! Also for showing how to feed yourself and use heart and liver from the deer harvested to fish with to feed yourself from scraps ! Amen
I came here to see the catfish, I got a sermon and got to hear a man's beautiful perspective of what life is and means.. thank you sir for this video.
I guess I'm gonna have to come down there and tell Roscoe he needs to get out of bed and go fishing. A good little early season run. Thanks for taking me fishing.
Me and him wanted to go squirrel hunting
The first time I paddled a canoe I was all over the creek till I figured it out lol
Soon to be 45 and didn't know the paddle method 😮. Thanks brother.
I really enjoy your videos. My two cents worth, don't change a thing.
Looked like a nice day out on the canoe.
Love a fishing video. You already know!
Completely agree with what you said about everything is and has life.
Bottles and jugs are good. We take and spray the inside with florescent orange paint let it dry then spray foam inside to keep them above water
Those sunny spires look right purdy over yer shoulder. Up here in NorCal we finally saw the sun poke through this AM. Thanx for taking us along with.
I felt warmer just lookin at my screen with that sun shinin so bright! I am about ready for Spring to be sprung!
Enjoy your videos keep them coming
Thank you. I hope i can keep this pace up. I enjoy it
I have the same Gerber and I love mine it does what I need, thanks brother for taking me along
I like em mud cat! They good eatin!
Man, if I was you, I'd keep usin that jug line. It looks to me that every trip, you catch another brick! Purdy soon, you'll have enough bricks to build a two story brick outhouse. Marie Laveax and the chirrens can use the hole on the second storey and you can use the downstairs seat, since you gettin too olt to climb too many stairs. Just carry you a good umbrella with you.
You know I catch them mud cats up here on the new river and I used to throw them back but an old mountain man buddy of mine showed me if you cut their tails off and throw them on the stringer when you clean them that will bleed them and that meat will be just as pretty and white as a blue channel
I know when the water warms the taste changes drastically. Ill try that
Love your videos. Hear is a tip if you want. I take gauze,. 4 inch by 4 inch. open and cut on the folds, use one layer. Place a pieces of liver on each peace. pull the corners up and hook on the hook. bait stays on much longer. You can make a bunch up before you go. May God continue to bless and keep you. Shalom.
Any day on the water is a great day
You got that right
one thing about it biting or not you catch more on the water and in the woods than you do from the couch. good video.
Great video! Up here we call them bullhead. Don't matter what you call them, they're good eating.
Does yalls get a bad taste when the water gets around 75-80°
We run 1000 ft trot lines for blue crabs in the Chesapeake. You can catch nice stripers too we call them or Rockfish, striped Bass. Here in the Shenandoah we fish for trout in the Opequon river, brother of Powhatan.
Your tacklebox😂
Catfish yuuuuum!!!
I got mudcat in Florida and they were good unlike mudcat I've got in Kansas Tennessee and Arkansas! It might be because of the sulfur water
Reminds me of growing up in the old Pascagoula River Swamp. Is that where this is?
Another great adventure, now take me to the bank i gotta go to work
The rest of the world calls them bullhead...😅
Put some Zote soap on your hooks.
Was wanting to to know about them grinnel fish I was reading they are kind of to gar do you eat them to are they
Good
Grinnel are my favorite to eat. Have to be kept alive till you ready to clean and dont put water in the meat . Wipe it clean with a paper towel otherwise it starts getting soft
Ever run into any gators out there in the swamp?
Yea we dont have a lot but there are several in this swamp
Have you used pig liver as cut bait?
I have not
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors I've had pretty good luck with it here in the NC mountain rivers and streams.
I’m assuming that what your calling muscats is the same
As what we call flatheads or Appaloosa it looks the same old yeller cats
mudcats are bullheads. They make good bait for Appaloosas!
A mudcat and an app is two different fish . We have apps here also called flathead or tabby cat
