They can’t change Sheldon’s dad dying at a young age that was a huge part of his character and the story that’s how he bonded with bernatets dad and how he comforted Howard when his mom passed away, and why his brother resents him..

It's possible that it won't happen on the show and it will happen some time after the show ends. It could be mentioned near the end but they'll likely keep him alive for almost the entire series. They might even keep him alive in the last episode and one of Sheldon's last lines could be "My dad died the next day" or something

It kinda ruined it for me. I enjoyed how deep and sad it was for sheldon.
I hope that Tam or Veronica make a final appearance, or at least get a mention. They were both fairly important characters, yet they both seemed to disappear several seasons ago.

For me, I would like to see the Cooper family reaction to George’s infidelity & how it affected their viewpoints on him (mainly Sheldon & Mary). Also, maybe the series finale could end on the main cast of the original TBBT with their kids grown up while discussing Sheldon’s dad.
I would greatly like to see this as another misinterpretation by sheldon

I can't believe that the show is ending already, it's been fun watching the child actors grow up and mature alongside their characters. I'm looking forward to checking out the Georgie and Mandy spinoff, whenever it airs.

My thought on Paige is that sadly she commits suicide before her 18th birthday. However, let's first establish here that we all know Paige is a fictional character, and Mckenna Grace is just fine, alive and well.
There are many many scenes with Paige that point to her eventually killing herself. In the clip above there are two where she says she has no friends in college, and the other where she say what's the good of being smart if you are all alone. Many others: Her recklessly getting drunk at a frat party and planning on going home with a college boy, her sadness over her parents divorce and blaming herself for it, her general despondent demeanor and feeling isolated and looking lost, and there are many others. Sheldon survives being different by being blissfully unaware of it (and hence provides a lot of the show's comedy). Paige is very self aware of how she is different and isnt able to cope with the social part of that.
This also explains why Paige is NEVER mentioned in the BBT, as this is a painful memory for Sheldon that he likely would suppress.
Paige goes on to study science and becomes a Ghostbuster.

it's confusing how in TBBT Sheldon told Penny he was a visiting professor in Germany when he was 15, then his mom had to go back to Texas to help his dad with the cinder blocks in their house; then when he was with Bernadette's dad he said his father died when he was 14.
It's so adorable when we find out who the mystery woman was when Sheldon barged in on Sheldon's dad and her.
I’m 90% sure it’s Brenda since in the Big Bang theory Sheldon also mentions how his dad was with a blonde who tried to buy his love with comic books.

The only big questions missed here is: What happened to Dr Sturgis that Sheldon never mentioned him in TBBT? Also, is FBI agent Paige the same Paige from Young Sheldon?

The 3-knock origin could be the reason why Big Bang Sheldon remembers/speaks so negatively about his Dad. Explaining the disconnect between the George described in Big Bang vs the one we see in Young Sheldon.
seeing your parent who was trying to support you and get you further in life with the abilities you have do something that negative would have an effect on how you view that person. My question is: why not be that way to his mom too? Both of them were doing that, why not be more to both of them?
Maybe he has to make his dad the bad guy because the actual one would be too much, Class psychology.
Okay during season 7, I think the 2nd or 3rd episode called “hot American boy toy” shows a scene where Sheldon go’s in his parents room catching a glimpse of you know what, but in the scene before that Mary had dressed up as a German woman as a surprise if George Sr, so when Sheldon saw it, maybe he had seen Mary dressed up as the German woman, confusing him into thinking it was another woman.
I'm surprised that something about George's death didn't make this list. I've been wondering for a while now if we will see how it happens, what the other characters are doing when it happens, if we even see it at all, etc
Over the course of the series, I've prepared myself to see what will happen to George St., but I think it will still be emotional.
What if George and Mary were role playing and that’s what Sheldon walks in on but doesn’t get it.
What if what shelby's saw Was Brenda trying to save George and he interpreted as romantic.

The mystery woman was Mary wearing a blonde wig and dressed as a German beer garden maid. (She and Sheldon had just come back from Germany)
I want to know about Sheldon's use of the phrase "be a lamb" and why he uses it when he wants someone to do something for him.
It's an affectionate phrase whose origins go back to the early 20th century and used to sweeten things up when asking someone for a favor. The only time I've ever heard it used (besides by Sheldon) was on the "Lucy Does a TV Commercial (the Vitameatavegamin episode)" of I Love Lucy. Lucy wrote the phrase on the back of a post-dated check she'd written and wants the teller to hold off cashing the check for a few days.

also Young Sheldon should not change what the Big Bang Theory told us, and the show ending with Sheldon moving to the apartment he had in the Big Bang Theory makes perfect sense and is a perfect way to tie it directly into the original series

Well With George Jr and Sheldon's Rocky Relationship Probably Started when Their Dad Died. Not only that George Mentioned that He had to look after Missy and Their Mom Especially When Mary Was a Mess after what happened.

The youth pastor had mentioned having an interview for a church in Arkansas - if he doesn't show up this season, my assumption is he'd gotten the job and is in Little Rock now!
Although I can understand why they're ending the show, I'm seriously not happy about it. I wanted at least 9 or 10 seasons. Since we all know George dies when Sheldon is 14, I kinda hope they will end the series before that occurs. His death is not how I want the show to start off and nor is it how I want it to end. I'd rather it end while they're all still together and the rest is left implied.

Considering In young Sheldon Sheldon does mention his dad dying I think they will touch on Sheldon’s dad dying in the 7th season, I have a feeling it’ll be the season finale. Whether or not they’ll touch on the 3 knocks and George’s affair with Brenda is unclear as it seems it’s already come to a hault since Mary learned about it while Mandy was in labor, before anything became physical. I’d love to just see more of everything I want more seasons; what the house is like after George’s death, what missy is like after his death, what Mary is like, I’d love to see more of Mary questioning her faith, just more I need more than 7 seasons. But I can’t wait for the 7th season and see what they do with it although it won’t be enough. lol
You forgot to mention Pennys voice cameo when Sheldon’s scared to swim in P.E!

I’m having doubts about the Georgie and Mandy spinoff
I hadn't heard that was happening until watching this but I'm actually excited for it. Because Mandy is so invested in Georgie's family, and as Sheldon has grown too big to be cute anymore (no fault to Ian Armitage, he's a wonderful actor) I've been more invested in all the supporting cast members than Sheldon, cause we already know his story from TBBT. I have hope for the Georgie & Mandy spin-off.
I had doubts about Young Sheldon but ended up loving it.

Honestly like I hope that Sheldon and Missy get along very well even that what happened the last season I know Sheldon did because he only did because afraid to lose her sister 👈. What I would think might happen in the end of the series, is that Sheldon would then meet Leonard. I don’t know much like I started watching Big Bang Theory and I don’t know how Sheldon and Leonard met, but I just thought that that would be a good way to end the series.
Sheldon and Leonard met, when Leonard moved into his appartment. We see a flashback in the Big Bang Theory (Idk wich episode, I haven't watched it in a while). Sheldon looked for a new roomate and Leonard needed an apaartment. So, Leonard met Sheldon there and they became roomates.
Leonard answered an ad for a roommate after Sheldon was already in California, so that would not align with the storyline.
Idk how big bang theory ends and im currently watching so my guess is that young sheldon ends with grown up sheldon telling someone from the show his story, sort of like a regular conversation between friends

4:24 I think it's pretty clear that it did. Pastor Jeff turned good at the end of season 6 and continued his turn for the good through the first episode of season 7 (when he gave the Coopers a big TV that his wife had bought with money she found at Mee Maw's shattered house)
I do found it weird that Howard got to do some narration on the show, but to this day, Leonard never has.

That was disingenuous of him. He should have come completely clean. If MeeMaw wanted to give her daughter's family a 27 inch color TV, that should have been her decision, not Pastor Jeff's. He was still not honest in the giving of the "gift," although anyone should be able to figure it out, given the proximity of the circumstances. People don't really expect deceit and dishonesty out of their pastor, though. Anybody else's pastor, but not their own.
Missy took care of everything after the tornado. Georgie took care of everything after George Sr died…according to Georgie in TBBT.
In season one, older Sheldon tells us that Georgie married his first wife at 19, so they have a good year or so to go.

Now that I’ve seen part of season, seven, I wonder if the whole three knocks thing was simply accident on Sheldon‘s behalf.
Honestly after watching The Big bang theory sort of I kind of understand what Sheldon never talks about his dad or he mentioned him and also him and his brother Georgie don't ever spoke after he moved to California 😔. To be honest I really hope that there's left stories for Paige I really want to know what really happened to her like from Young Sheldon for the next episode even though I'm sad because this is be the last we'd see young Sheldon or this actor played Sheldon or should I say voice of Sheldon 😢
I have a theory that what happened to paige is that she runs away again but this time she can’t be found. And then her ending get left up to us the audience.

With missy I don’t think the storm changes her that much. Afterall narrator older sheldon said in one episode in season 6 that missy rebelled several times and even got a piercing without George knowing. Plus in the Big Bang as you showed Georgie said she was a dumb teenager.

The only one that I wanted to know was about Paige. There's different things that people say in the comments. But what actually happens to her? Did she become a successful scientist or just ruins her life because she hated her life.

My question is why did Sheldon continue to talk to his family after how they treated him
better question is how the siblings stopped talking, especially Georgie. I have a feeling sheldon leaves after his dad died to go to that school and work. Maybe he didn't have any remorse and Georgie had to take care of both missy and his mom because sheldon ditched and couldn't understand the emotions behind it. Or even worse: he could do he ran off to cope. He doesn't strike me as the emotional type to deal with that in the normal way.
If you spent your life watching your brother have your parents always in a tailspin and going through things and the then he doesn't stick around after one is gone, id be mad too

I have just begun season 4 of this show and here are some thing I find annoying
85% of the time Sheldon
50% mary
I aint saying cheating is alright, and both are guilty of it. But Mary went too far with being overly religious. Just because she messed up her late teens doesn't mean her kids are going to. The reason why Georgie probably knocked up Mandy was because neither of the parents seemed to want to educate him on sex and what can happen. You would think their own mistake would make them be more honest about it. Instead they avoid the subject, make their kids NOT wanna talk about their own sexual desires and have them get pushed away.
I just have a lot of issues with this show where I am going: this is the parenting these kids received? No wonder his brother and sister aren't close to him. His mom babies him to the extreme and the only time they pay that much attention to Georgie is when he knocked up Mandy, and instead the church just shuns them. If they were real Christians they wouldn't pass judgement, they would offer their support and they would have had this conversation to the other kids and teens.
Missy I totally get being ignored because even before Mandy came along no one payed attention to her. Even when they did that study and missy was being honest, after that nothing.
This family and their neighbors are really messed up people passing judgement one second and then not acting like real Christians' the next.

Before I even watch this, I will say this, regarding Paige, the girl Sheldon's age who also has the incredibly high I.Q. Her storyline has to be addressed and i PREDICT that in the final season it will be revealed that Paige COMMITTED SUICIDE at some point, and the news of her death affects Sheldon greatly, and leads to many of his annoying "quirks" as an adult.

OBVIOUSLY I KNOW THE ACTRESS THAT PLAYS PAIGE IS ALIVE. MY PREDICTION IS THAT THE CHARACTER PAIGE'S STORY WILL BE TOLD IN THIS FINAL SEASON OF YS, AND IT WILL BE REVEALED SHE COMMITTS SUICIDE FOR ALL THE REASOSNS YOU STATED.

The three nocks already doesn't make sense. Sheldon says in the big bang theory that the incident with george happend when he was 14, but we see that he has been doing 3 nocks since he was a little kid.
In the latest episode Sheldon catches his dad with the mystery woman. In the voice over he says this is when he started the three knocks.

Sadly I think Paige will die sometime during season 7 and it will effect Sheldon in such a way that his pain will not be rectified until Amy comes along and THATS the reason why Paige was never spoken of during the Main series
Seriously, the three knocks thing is #1? It's the most boring storyline, we already know everything about it except how George and Brenda actually triggered.
After the last episode everyone owes Brenda a big apology.
I don’t think it’s going to be that happy of an ending for a lot of them.
Based on the Big Bang. The only one that makes it out mostly intact is gorgie. The rest fall to personal things or their own mind

Once the dad died it seems it and stuff from season 6 pushes them downhill and they regress
Am I the only person who doesn’t care about Paige? She’s just not that fascinating. She’s a friend he lost touch with (whom the writers hadn’t invented yet in the Big Bang Theory.). There’s no mystery.

FWIW, I've heard there will be a spin off series to young sheldon, featuring georgie and mandy as the main characters. This would change the focus,n and the name of the show, but we'd still get to see the characters...💕
I would like to think the Sheldon walked in on George and who-ever, Brenda? in a NON naked, NON horizontal embrace / hug, behind a closed door, and too his 14 YO naive, sheltered mind, what he actually saw was father having "relations", NOT truly SEX with someone..... It happened and they never spoke of it to each other again....teenage angst, bravado and grudges held, all rolled into one! I want George to be just a guy, a good dad, and likeable - I guess!
The sad thing is Sheldon and Penny will take to their graves the idea that George cheated but there is a perfectly innocent explanation as to who the mystery woman was.

George will die. The affair may still happen but we dunno if off screen or not. Honestly, hard to tell. But unfortunately, this is the last season and it will happen sometime.
They had an *emotional* affair... George and Brenda, and Mary isn't innocent of that! She had an emotional affair with the youth pastor. FFS... tell me you don't know what an emotional affair is, with out telling me you don't know what an emotional affair is.🙄

The side characters were more interesting than Sheldon. I think that was one of the biggest problems of the show. I never cared about young Sheldon.
This show was simply terrible. And please no more sequels...
If you don't have HBO Max you won't see the sequel anyway.
