China for instance only started growing after cultural revolution, which was basically a movement to do away with religion. India unfortunately is an incredibly religious country. There are regions in India particularly the south of India which has somehow managed to keep religion out of politics to a large extent hence you can see it’s double digit economic growth compared to north India which has become a basket case to study how religion in politics results in lack of economic prosperity.
Believe or not he almost spent his life to address pakistani Muslims ..pointed out the faults and misconceptions in religious and politics.

Despite being hounded out of his own country by extremists he bears animosity towards none and continues to preach a model of inclusion for all humankind and not just Muslims. That’s too bad. Among other things, he is saying that partition of India was never a solution. But that’s what happened. Both countries were made under the principle of “Nation State”. Under that principle Neither India was made for Hindus nor Pakistan made for Muslims. It’s the religious movements that has given it a different shape and ideology. Muslim of Pakistan are not like the king of older days when they used to grant right to certain groups (for example of a particular religious group) depending upon their liking. Minorities in both countries are equal citizens of their respective states. He also said that although America is not perfect but still is the best example of a nation state.

Pakistan should stabilize itself politically and economically and then it's leadership should also officially facilitate the immigration of urdu- speaking muslims of India to Pakistan especially from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
I would respectfully disagree with Ghamidi Sb's view that the situation in Pakistan and India is same. Well, it's true that the non-muslims are considered minorities in Pakistan however, these minorities are not facing persecution, oppression and elimination from the government or the huge majority of people living in Pakistan. In India, these things are official government policies.
Sir you always drage and compare situation in Pakistan and its government /people to the situation/issues in other countries. I request you to stop that and just focus on the issue and suggest future strategies to the muslims in India that they could resolve these issues peacefully.
Ghamidi sb did not equate both countries on this line, but he equated that majority in both the countries think, that this country solely belongs to them on basis of religion, and other communities cannot claim equal status
Ghamdi didn't compare conditions of minorities in both countries. He described that the principle which is being followed in both side of border by majority is that this country only belongs to them and they will decide the rule of law, their identity and how they should treat minorities in their country.
Mr.Ghamidi has brought home clearly the point. It is for the biased minds to not to understand clearly.

I totally agree with Ghamidi sahib, Division was not the solution. Further divisions are not the solution. All parties should Accept the situation. For us Pakistanis as well, accept that all religions, castes and races in Pakistan are EQUAL.
Political equality is fine, but if you want other religions to be treated at the same spiritual level as Islam then you are basically denying Islam.
Because God Himself says in the Quran that the acceptable religion with God is Islam.
Its ok to have sympathy with non Muslims, I have a lot of sympathy and soft corner for non Muslims. I want Muslim majority nations to accord all kinds of political rights to non Muslims, give them first right to the resources of the country as well.
But if someone demands other religions be treated on the same level spiritually as Islam, then sorry… InshaAllah that day should never come.
In a similar fashion I don’t expect non Muslims to see Islam at the same spiritual level as their own religion. To them their way, to me mine. I don’t mind if they see muslims spiritually deficient per their theology.

I believe Dr Javed Ghamidi is the best Islamic scholar of this time, however I disagree with him regarding this specific political view, Pakistan is a blessing for Pakistanis, if we didn't have Pakistan, we'd be dealing with the terror of hindutva
That is a pure speculation. The formation of Bangladesh proved that Pakistani scheme was not entirely beneficial for the Muslims.

I think you should read some history and learn some mathematics. Muslims were biggest single community in united India. On the other hand Hindus were never a nation, nor they were united. An upper caste Hindu hated lower class Hindu more than he would hate a person of other religion. Pakistan was created for those Nawabs and Landlords who were scared that democracy and future land reforms promised by Congress would destroy their power in united India. Pakistan is a blessing for those Nawabs, Khans, Landlords and off course for those who looted and occupied properties and wealth left by rich Hindus and Sikhs. Pakistan is also a blessing for those incompetent illiterate and backward people who have ruled this unfortunate nation since it's creation. For ordinary people nothing has changed and it's going worst with each passing day.
