The Norwich terrier can stand about 10 inches and can weigh around 12 pounds. With that size, you will never believe that it was bred to be a hunting companion decades ago. They hail from the UK.
In case it is not obvious, the name of the dog breed has ‘Norwich’ in it. The terrier breed originates from Norwich, a city in Norfolk, England.
During the 1870s, before the breed was formally recognized and named, Norwich terriers have been popular pets among Cambridge University undergraduates. Their reputation as ‘rodent hunters’ has gone beyond the boundaries of Norfolk. Soon, the students start using them to guard their dorms.
One legendary dog named Rags was considered the ‘Adam’ of all today’s Norwich terriers. He was a terrier in Trumpington Street and a notorious rat-catcher. After spreading his seed, the reign of the new breed of terriers had emerged.
In 1914, the Norwich breed started to invade the US. According to another legend, the descendant of Rags, named Willum, was exported to Philadelphia.
Soon, the number of Norwich terriers kept on increasing. It is during the 1920s to 1930s that the breed was officially recognized by the British and American kennel clubs.

One thing is for sure. Its no use in telling the Norrie that they are small, because in their own head they are 500 pounds and larger than a Great Dane!

That was an interesting and lovely information guide to owning a Norwich Terrier. My Norwich died just 6 months ago, and everything in this video reminds me of him.

Very nice video! I wish I could have one or two or three of these. I love terriers of all sizes. I have a long-haired border terrier that looks and acts just like Norwich terriers only larger. He likes to chase rodents, cats and anything else that gets in the yard, and he guards the house zealously.

Your voice is very soft compared to the music. Completely fades away at the end. You should redo this version.
