- A quiet and relaxing weekend in Oslo, Norway after a long work week. I walk around the city with my dog Mochi in the gentle spring sunshine. We visit some nice neighborhoods with small, colorful wooden houses.
//
The two areas with the colorful wooden houses are called Vålerenga and Kampen. They are located right next to each other, so if you start in one area, you can easily walk to the next. Kampen is a tad more lively than Vålerenga since it has a lovely square in front of the church with two cafes (if I remember correctly) and a flower shop. But both areas are very quiet and calm residential areas. Great for slow walks. But it may bore you if you are looking for lots of shops and an urban, busy area.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk here from the Central station in the center of Oslo. But you can of course come here by bus, in which case I recommend that you download the public transportation app "Ruter". You can enter Vålerenga or Kampen in the app, and it will give you alternatives for which busses to take. Google maps will of course also be very helpful.

Today was beautiful sunny day in NE Ohio and I was able to hang our laundry out on the line to dry in the sun and breeze. I sat and watched it swaying in the wind and thought I should be doing some other chore but remembered your beauty in the ordinary philosophy and continued to watch our laundry instead. Nice post and Oslo seems to have so many good qualities. And your edit/shooting seems to be going in a good direction. BTW, we just had salmon this week and I used avocado oil in a pan and because it has a high smoke point you can get nice browning on the fish without it becoming burnt...

By chance one day I used the word churri when I was talking to her (in spanish slang it is used to designate your boyfriend or girlfriend, it means affection: honey, dear, my love...) And I saw that she reacted to that word. From then on it became her usual name. She recognizes Churri as her own name and always reacts to that word.
PS: So Mr J is your "churri" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😺

Ps, do you know the word «mochi»? It is a soft, sweet Japanese cake. When we got our sweet little dog, she was so small, soft and sweet, so we called her Mochi!We had been on holiday to Japan and loved the cake mochi 😂
