That's pretty dumb that Richard Parker is alive cause he had no chance to survive at all, but anyway, great acting by Andrew Garfield makes this scene so strong.

Andrew’s acting when he says, “what do you wanna say, say it, where have you been” is insane, easily one of my favorite actors
I know, right!?
@Aaron Pablos I'd rather not have black cat be 100% hero. Her being half villian is literally her whole entire character, without it she is just another MJ/Gwen Stacy
And then he just breaks down, incredible

Andrew is definitely in my top 5. Forever my favorite Spider-Man
Fun Fact: 90% of movies' deleted scenes actually turn out to be the best and most interesting scenes
Actually most of them are deleted for good reason
@@harrydrake4173 So what's one of the main good reasons that the scenes were deleted? Being unrelated to the plot?
@@harrydrake4173 Not necessarily; most of them are cut for time constraints.

Avi Arad: (Transylvanian accent) *Who wants to see this? Throw in the Rhino fighting a kid*
If you think about all three of the spidermen and their stories, Andrew was literally treated like the middle child. He lost uncle Ben, his parents, his girl, his best friend, couldn’t even get this scene to be fully added to the movie, and had it not been for NWH he probably would’ve never been seen as Spider-Man again. Ffs, he doesn’t even have a third movie like the other’s do😭
They were gonna make it but it got cancelled or something
I think they will talk about it again soon. Last film im general opened a ton of doors. But it probably will never be. I agree tho. But Tom will get another to break the chain i think
Real
That’s why the NWH “you’re not lame. You’re Amazing” I’m convinced was genuinely Tobey validating Andrew as being every bit as great as him. That wasn’t for Peter, that was for Andrew
It sucks The Amazing Spiderman is my fav out of all of em. Its the most accurate to the comics, and while I love Toms Spidey I just hate that they went overboard with his Iron Man relationship, Iron Man gives spidey the iron spidey suit in the comics but he isnt his dang daddy/. Also imo his on screen time with Emma was phenomenal and I think she was outstanding as Gwen Stacy her death scene was the only thing that made me cry in Marvel movies along with Endgame
WTF!? Why on EARTH would they cut this scene out of the film!? What was Sony THINKING!? This was brilliantly done and I love how Peter's father is the one who says the famous line this time instead of his uncle. The way he delivers the line is also very nicely done! In addition, it is also a very powerful moment in the film to see Peter actually reunited with his father. They should have kept this scene in the final cut of the movie.
I’ll never forgive Sony for removing this
This film NEEDS a director's cut.
His uncle gave him a with great power quote not the same?
Sony Did it Because its SONY 🤦♂️
Yea. They thought it was too emotional.
It’s been over 8 years and I still haven’t forgiven Sony for removing this scene.
we won't. every deleted TASM2 scene would have quickly lead into a trilogy. 3 hours in a cinema isn't a lot. The Batman is almost 3 hours, No Way Home was 2 hours and 30 mins...it's like a student omitting words from his research that could have made the dissertation an 11/10.
Marc Webb cut this scene actually.
I originally understood why they removed it. It was because in the beginning of the movie, Richard died in the plane crash.
Then I thought about it. Why couldn’t they have just removed the plane crash sequence? It wasn’t even good. That way, they could’ve put this scene in the movie and it would still make sense.

yup..
There was a Soviet stewardess who was the only survivor of an airplane crash without a parachute. So it's not something impossible. Especially in a world where there are people with superpowers.
Richard's not stupid and I think he could think of something quick to save himself.
Think if they had made an ASM3 they would probably explain how he survived.

Would you consider yourself to be a good person?
How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust?
Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer-at-heart; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that He is perfect in justice; that means that just like a just judge does sentence criminals to pay for the wrong they caused, do does God sentence the payment of all sins - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin
And the just God will punish ALL sin. Is that concerning?
But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us.
On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised. Jesus' perfect righteousness will be accredited to you and you can stand in a relationship with the God of the Universe, a Father. If you repent and believe the gospel.
ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

There was a theory that Peter's father didn't survive (ignoring the plane escape scene for it was just a deleted scenario), and that it was Chameleon who took the form of Peter's father (possibly old friends) to comfort Peter after Gwen's death. He said what Peter's father would say, and he's not wrong. Quite frankly, I would have accepted it as that.
@@ZonnexNecton Or it is Peter's dream.
Nah, its Canon that in some version of Spider-Man, his parents are Shield Agents or Oscorp scientists, they could've taken this second iteration a different way and really opened up the Amazing Spider-Man Lore. On one hand I am sad that they deleted it because the acting and stuff is incredible, but on the other there is no way that Richard Parker should be alive after the plane crash.
probably why they deleted it
I think the more probable cause for deletion is that Uncle Ben provided a much more loved iteration of Great Power comes Great Responsibility.
Uncle Ben, quoting Richard Parker said to Peter, if you have the ability to do good things to other people, it is your moral obligation to do so. It's not a choice but a responsibility.
But he could have survived though. There was literally a parachute the guy who was trying to kill him was gonna use before getting killed.
Who said he had to be “alive?” Gwen’s death could’ve been the final straw for Peter’s psyche, so this could’ve been him hallucinating or his brain making up illusions to cope with the stress of Gwen’s death

Things like this are what make Andrew such a good spiderman. I feel like people don’t like him because the movies were bad, but thats not his fault. Nothing bad about the movies was on him, he was superb. He made his own spiderman.
Exactly. From the moment I watched the first 'Amazing Spider-Man' film I was hooked on Andrew's performance. He conveys emotion, humour and charisma so well as both Peter and Spider-Man. He was the first on screen Spidey I watched that made me feel as if the comic character had jumped straight off of the pages. Even though the second Amazing Spider-Man film was convoluted in a rushed and unprepared sense; I'd still grin like a child whenever Andrew or Spidey was on screen - especially in the first 10 minutes of the second film.

Hopefully Tobey and Andrew passes on the “With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility” line to Tom’s Peter
(Edit: Holy shit they actually did it! Aunt May said it first but Tobey and Andrew acknowledged it and linked it back to Uncle Ben. 🔥🔥)
More likely Tobey to pass It to Tom
Imagine they all say it at the same time or some shit
Rather have uncle Ben tell it to him first. We've had almost no mention of Ben
Strong focus on what i want
@@yousufkhan1720 I missed the part where's that my problem
This scene was emotional
With great power comes great responsibility
This should be opening scene for the Amazing Spider-Man 3
Why this scene isn't in the movie is beyond me, Andrew killed it and is why he needs to have his TASM 3 fillmed and any other projects involving Spiderman
yh maybe andrew was amazing, but the guy playing the father did a fucking horrible job, how many times did he say; I had to dissappear to keep you safe
@@juanesteban3523 I would imagine he's saying it because he doesn't know what else to say. And its not his fault if you didn't like his lines. He didn't write them.
@@juanesteban3523 My guy that's not bad writing. Literally what else could he say in that situation???
@@juanesteban3523 his delivery was so flat, add he was acting against Garfield
Pretty sure they deleted this because his dad being alive makes no sense
What a scene. Really hope Andrew gets his chances to better show how talented he is in No Way Home
What do you mean? He CLEARLY isn't in it, and all the leaks are CLEARLY faked
Edit: I'm being sarcastic, I just want everyone to know that. For as good of an actor Andrew is, he's really bad at hiding the fact he's in No Way Home
@@bobertson_jr even if they are fake he could still be in it
@@bobertson_jr watch hacksaw ridge, he’s so good in that movie!
Even if Andrew is better now in terms of acting, I doubt his scene in No Way Home (if he's in there) would be long. Him and Tobey would probably just appear when Ironboy Jr. is in the verge of losing. The budget would increase if Andrew and Tobey gets more screentime
@@mobilelegendsmemes no doubt
The song from Lord of the Rings really brings this together for me.
Why were we robbed of this beautiful scene
“I don’t.. I don’t know how to go on without her.” Oh my gods I was bawling my eyes out already and this just broke me.
Same!

His dad actually displayed great responsibility. Disappearing to keep his son safe just like how Peter NEEDED to disappear from Gwen’s life to keep her safe.
Only to come back.

I got say this scene is incredible and so is Andrew, hopefully we could see him at least one more time as not just Spider-Man nor the ultimate but as the truly Amazing Spider-Man 😎❤️
I’m still waiting for Peter to say, “I love you too, Dad.”
This scene is emblematic of Asm2's writing as a whole. A totally bizzarre and out of nowhere scene that was never alluded to anywhere and adds nothing to the plot, but is so well acted that it tricks you into thinking its good for a second.
The biggest flaw of this scene is that it’s dependent of the sequel, the sequel which we never got sadly
Hmm true ..well worded..I love the scene, but yea it seems pointless and adds waay more into the already blown up movie
100% agreed
This comment is certified gold.
why is this comment so fucking accurate holy shit. and thats coming from me and i love these movies with my soul. even i can acknowledge what you said is spot on.
I had the pleasure of working on this film as a PA and an extra actor. Andrew was extraordinary to watch on set. A real Spidey fan. I was sad to see most of his emotional scenes cut from the final film. I hope one day Sony re-releases TAS films with the footage not shown. Not saying the writing was better, but Andrew’s iteration of the character deserves to be shown. He nailed it perfectly. As a Spidey fan myself, he is my favorite.
Where can we find you in the movie good sir ?
Yes where u at?
@@chavrios3007 The scene when the police officer directs the women away from Electro, it cuts to the officer looking down a line of people and I’m the Asian with the short hair and glasses with a book dead center.
@@HOL457 The NY Times Square scene when Electro is draining power. I’m the Asian with the glasses and short hair in dead center of the frame of that particular scene.
@@MatthewVlossak I see you! That’s cool! 👍
what gets me is that his dad tells him he loves him. and Parker can't respond cause he just does not know what to say. you can just see it in Andrew's Face. good acting there (least in my opinion)
The destiny that his dad talks about here sort of opens up the implications to retcon his words from earlier in the movie and implies that just like the destiny that he thought he had, anyone else could've possibly been this Spider-Person, instead of Peter and that POSSIBLY his measures may have been wrong
The Lord of the Rings music playing was a placeholder, just so everyone knows.
I THOUGHT I HEARD IT
I knew I wasn't the only one to hear it here and there!!!!
I FUCKING HEARD IT I WAS CONFUSED AF
I was waiting for the next part to kick in, lol
Yeah I started thinking maybe it just sounded really similar but couldn’t remember TASM having that time of music.
They should've added this remarkable scene in the movie
Why but this is very nostalgic
No other Peter Parker can do emotional scenes like Andrew
@WiiManElite Andrew has done more almost perfect emotion scenes
@WiiManElite meh
@WiiManElite it was a well made scene in the plot but not well acted. Tobey and Tom aren’t in the same league.
Why would they take this scene out. This scene is fucking amazing.
Sam Shirvan Ikr
Think it’s meant for number 3 but it got cut
Because Avi doesn’t want ✨emotions ✨
now it's the opposite of amazing
Cuz the movie was already so jumbled with plot lines and adding this was less profitable than putting the action heavy rhino ending
They really should have kept this in to see peter being so vulnerable and andrews acting in this scene is just sublime as always what an actor we need a spiderman 3 ❤
How so?
Please reply to me!
Man so powerful him and Tobey , Tom wishes he had this opportunity
They should have kept this in two-fold:
Garfield's acting and a chance for the R. Parker actor
If they remove Richard Parker and his mom die at the beginning and put this scene at the end, I definitely put it on very first top of my favorite movie list
@@FlareLime if they were to put this scene on the movie there were another opening scene where R. Parker actually survives.
I think the scene is good but the movie IN MY OPINION still was good without the scene, I kind of preferred the ending without this scene
The way i see peter’s character development in tasm 1 is as followed:
Peter was selfish, peter was an ass. But can you blame him? He lost his parents, had a pretty difficult childhood. But in that one day, he had so much happiness. He found his dad’s briefcase, got revenge on the bully, got the girl, did what he liked. In this case skateboarding. But pretty much like any teenager, he got punished for forgetting to pick up may. And then the happiest day in his life was turned into the worst. He is mad, frustrated. He wants revenge, he lets the criminals go because he is selfish. When captain stacy talks to peter about spider-man he begins to think “am i a villain?” But then comes the bridge scene. He has a choice, chase the lizard and be infamous and immediately be on the police’s good side. Or help reunite a kid with his father. Something peter has always wanted. He chooses to help the father reunite with his kid. And thats when he chooses to help others instead of himself. When he is in his room with the mask in front of him, he sees the mask in a new light. Not as a way of not getting recognized for your crimes, but as a symbol of hope.
Totally right I agree 100%
I love the 3 spider man they are different but at the same time they are similar Peter Parker s identity was never forgotten
This is perfect!!
@Pain's Clips yea, i did mean that, just needed to word it better.
I actually saw this scene in theaters , the first day it came out and then they cut it out a few days later.
This ending is so much better
Imagine having this scene when he says "with great power comes great responsibility" right before Gwen's speech at the end of the movie. Andrew had such great potential if it wasn't for sony. I truly hope marvel does justice to his character at least one time and have him in No Way Home. He absolutely nailed this scene and also gwen's death.
Update: Watched No Way Home and was in tears to see Andrew’s character getting the love he deserves. The Amazing Spider-man 3 is trending on twitter today :’)
I made an alternate cut of Tasm 2 with this scene and Gwen's speech. And it does work alot better
Well............
