My favourite part of the OVA was when Dio actually ran after Joseph in stopped time. It actually made it seem like there was a time limit to his powers

Although many of the artistic choices are questionable, some of the scenes are honestly beutiful.

Well, the animation in the OVA is beautiful (specially in the 1993 ova) but they cut lots of characters and story from the original source, also the humor and tone are more serious or darker (you will not get those funny moments with Joseph or Polnareff) but the action is brutal. With this, i still prefer the 2015 version. The music, and the way that David Pro is still handle the JOJO Manga until now it's perfect

The OVA is sadly very underrated. Yes they changed a lot, but it's still quality time none the less

I really liked how they depicted the emerald splash attack in this OVA. It looks like a machine gun, with emeralds obliterating anything they strike. It looks like a genuinely dangerous ranged attack, much more menacing than the anime where its destructive power is rarely shown.

I’m just gonna say, the OVA final fight between Jotaro and Dio (when he drank Joseph’s blood) was literally the best one. Between the Manga, OVA, and anime versions, the OVA was the best one. MY DUDE JOTARO THREW A FRICKIN’ BUILDING AT HIM. There was lots of throwing, and I honestly loved it. In fact, I’m gonna go watch it now. SEE YA!

The OVA is strikingly accurate at depicting Cairo in the 80s though

My brain: "Holy shit how did the OVA reference an anime opening that didn't even exist yet?"

I really like the OVA as its own entity for the following reasons:
