- Sat down for a little drawing session yesterday. I wanted to give it a little spin and try and use my markers in a different way then my usual after this technique worked pretty well last week. Did it go well the second time?

I think realising that your style is suddenly changing is one of the most exciting things that can happen when you’re drawing.
It happened to me the other day and now every time I sit down to draw I get super excited to see where I can take my style this time.
It’s kinda ironic how I used to be really scared to change my style hahah

I've noticed that i go through "face expression phases" a lot. Usually because I'll see another piece of art that's (for example) grinning that looks really good.... And then I subconsciously fill my sketchbook with the same type of expression.

@@_natz. thank you but I’m not American so I don’t have “Michales” or “Hobby Lobby”. Literally there is only one art shop I know of and it’s SUPER expensive. Plus, amazon only sells things that are made in my country which also sucks. :((

I really appreciate how you will record yourself speaking for these types of process videos! usually other artists will record the process and have music over it but hear you speak while I draw is really the best thing ever! I love that you do videos like this... where you post the things you feel didn't work as well as you wanted them to. That's something most art channels completely miss: You do something, it doesn't turn out exactly as you wanted it...but you learn from it and walk away from it as a better artist

Sometimes you've just got to experiment with things you like in different styles until you develop your own. Currently, all I can really draw are cartoony octopuses (yes that's technically the plural) and half decent roses. It's just a lot of practice and experimentation, at least in my experience. 😊
To be honest, I don't think anyone can draw a perfect circle, so don't stress. 🤣
