Touhou 17, the game this is from, has had the best OST in the series in years. I'd highly recommend checking it out, especially Joutoujin of Ceramics and Unlocated Hell.

@Art-Ghost Same happened with Pure Furies and Emotional Skyscraper in the past, both of which ranked 3rd iirc right after their first debut.
Whenever ZUN made a particularly epic final boss theme, it just blew everyone's mind, it seems.
I'm not surprised at all. This song absolutely slaps, especially the intro. Between this and Pure Furies ZUN has been killing it with final boss themes lately.

However the world before was so much worse for humans in the animal realm, who were subjugated to slavery and hunted by the entire animal spirit populace… A lack of identity while living in constant fear and agony…. I cannot imagine that being better than Keiki’s idealistic world.

There's so much to the series whether it be music or other works that you never have to play the games to be a fan! I know a number who enjoy other aspects whether it be music, story, characters, or fan content like manga, art, or arrangements!

Wow, it even keeps the feeling of urgency from the original. I've only seen 1 other cover/remix effectively pull that off.

@RichaadEB I forgot to comment when you first uploaded this. Idoratrize World is one of my favorite BGMs from Touhou, and your rendition of it is my favorite Touhou cover you've ever done. It's just so good. It's genius. I can listen to this on loop thousands of times and not get tired of it (I actually did for much of July). Even when I hear the original BGM in the game, I still hear your rendition playing alongside it in my head.
I'm genuinely glad you're doing Touhou covers too. As a long-time Touhou fan, I really mean that.
