- TAXMEN performing "I Am the Walrus" at Robson and Granville Streets on a nice October, 2011, afternoon in front of the Future Shop. "I AM THE WALRUS" by John Lennon busking style. Video by Terry David Silvercloud (Butch) with a Sony Nex-5 with ultra wide lens and mic accessories on the camera. The Taxmen have been regulars on this corner over this past summer. This song is from Magical Mystery Tour album.

Reducing the song to 2 guitars a bass and a hi hat and snare you really get the pure essence of the songs, when a song can be played with a little 4 piece and then also be played with a 50 piece orchestra that's when you know a composition is timeless when you still can feel it.

The drummer is dead on. Amazing how memorable Ringo's simple fills are, and how essential to the song.
Oh yes, Ringo was a very under appreciated drummer.

Great stuff boys! Saw you in Salmon Arm and sang along to every number. You are great at getting those songs (even the studio numbers) close to right. All the important sounds were in there that make the songs what they are - great! And I never knew John could play the bass so well. Stop by again sometime.
