- Troy heads out on one of his own adventures that he's wanted to do for awhile now, go bike packing! He and his friend, Buz (who is an avid bike packer), load up and leave from his house to go find a campsite in the woods. Watch to see how it goes!

Glad to have found your channel. Always good to get a look at how my hometown area is doing. Although I left nearly 38 years ago to go to college, I grew up in Pensacola and got my first taste of camping and backpacking in the Blackwater River Forest with my church's RA chapter.

I have been trying to get into bikepacking since I was a kid! WAY before there was such a thing! I finally have a couple of friends that are interested in it, as well. I've been slowly building up a kit of packs and such. I have a Trek Marlin 7, but I actually think that I am going to try out my vintage '86 Trek mountain bike for a gravel/bikepacking bike. We are hoping to get out this weekend to give it a go on a short trip.

I don't blame you! We camped in a public area of Blackwater Forest - while it may be rare to have an alligator come into camp in these parts, there can still be alligators in the water nearby sometimes. Thanks for watching!
