Ohhh just some brilliant damn acting with olivia and josh i love the part where shes peeling the wrapper off the bottle thinking about natalia , starting from natalia leaving springfield on this story makes you wanna drink heavy quantities just to supress the pain olivia is dealing with makes you teary eyed forreal. this story feels so real its amazing i dont wanna watch the bad either but its addicting to reality and i love the fact they do it like that love will prevail eventually.
I got tearful right there at the end when she talks about nothing feels right when the person you love is gone. Wow! Well done, CC! And glad Josh Finally noticed that Olivia is in agony!
Damn she's such a good crier! She almost had me in tears in the very last scene cause she's such a natural actress. And yeah, she looked good sitting at that table, aside from the crying making me sad ;)
I think the writing is good and also think this is the best love story I'v seen so far. People who like the storyline are less likely to be vocal. And these writers are writing a soap. Soap are known for angst. And people seem to think its there job to correct every wrong that has been done to us in other story's which by the way most of the truly bad ones are written by lesbians. To me Olivia is going through the 7 stages of grief one doen't have to die for the other to do this.
I love her reaction to that - the facial expression - not only is she not insulted, she TOTALLY knows she is NOT flattering herself, and that she could have Josh in bed in 2 seconds flat if she wanted to...but she does not want to. She gets so much across non-verbally - a real talent!
For some reason the peeling off the paper of the bottle really stuck out to me. Just amazing, subtle acting on her part cause that is totally something u do when ur depressed.
i agree with you Peache. I'm all for Josh and Olivia having a romp to forget (for a while) the loves who cast them aside. I really think Nat could use a jealousy wake up call and give Olivia the "grand gesture" of publicly acknowledging their relationship. Too much misery and crying for Liv..it sucks! I liked the smile she gave Josh when he joked about her not flattering herself.
I think that Olivia would have been a great Ally to Victoria Brandon back in the day. Can you imagine her, Olivia & Natalia living in that house at the same time, it would have been a riot!!
6.The taking a step back comment! WOW! That was really true to life.But also shows, that Olivia has trust issues.Of course, Nat bailed out on her last minute.But if Liv could be really sure, and love and trust fully, she would have been tearing down Blake's door, demanding what's going on.She'd be more on the worried side.I think that's a big setup for what's to come.This week, and later whenNatalia returns. People, you need to give the writers some credit.A lot of the actors are leaving the show early, they have to consider that.They had to turn in two scripts, one for "in case the show gets picked up" and one for now. Then a lot of the personnel(like make up artists) are already leaving,too. I really don't think that they are trying to take anything out on the viewers. Instead they have these really beautiful speeches on loss, like Buzz yesterday.That's the writers speaking.Not the characters.

The truth is, that the gay and bi ladies out there know of the backlash a large group of women can be prone to,and are not even daring to venture into that sharkpool. I think the GL writers, with all of their good intentions and big old heart have gotten a good dose of that by now. I remember when Maca and Esther in HC had to deal with all the affairs and it was the worst time to watch, but even then, most people stuck to watching it, so I'm more disappointed in the people leaving it. From a writers perspective, the story is showing a true emotional story-arc with twits that are yet to come. ROLL ON AUGUST!

Those are the convo;s I would love to see on this show - late at night, in the bar, Ch. says to Remy: "so what IS the deal with Olivia and Natalia?"
Seems like Natalia has some serious making up to do;-) I know how you feel, becasue I felt the same way during the WoD (Drinking,etc.) It was very hard to trust a sl, after having been let down by so many, and now being SO invested. The WoD struck really close to home,too..Well,now I'm more detached, because as I see it, Nat is leaving because of JL's mat leave, what we get in between is Emmy filler for CC.Some character development.

Olivia's depression is showing closer minded people how one person can affect anothers life. I am so used to TV s/ls having break ups like Tibette, Tara Willow, Maca and Esther and those storylines weren't always the best. Im surprised at how many people have ditched the storyline, I'm upset by the animosity towards the show and am with it till the end
Writing wise, it is not believable. Natalia, as previously written, would not do that in that way. She is too kind and compassionate. And as Snapper wrote in Lunchbox, she also had changed too much. We can only feel betrayed by the writing, b/c instead of finishing the story as it began and was built, so slowly so carefully for over a year, it has been suddenly altered to be unrecognizable - IT LEFT US - without a word of explanation, for no apparent reason. Like O, we are inconsolable.
she and josh really are fantastic together, he is THE hottest and most talented man on this show, but what i found most important about this entire exchange starting with the "I can't" from Livi when she thought it was a come-on, was that there was no hint of flirtatious game playing, despite her pain or drunkeness. Still without knowing why Dimples left, she is certain in her fidelity and commitment to her love. Nat is the only person she WANTS.
I'm not saying unwavering, uncritical support, but at least fair criticism.Not trashing. It is really hard to discuss or argue or enjoy anything if the mood and tone comes down to sheer trashing. I do think, that we can all agree on disagreeing,on a lot of things, but hyping each other up, in the trashing of people, who've really gone out there and done so much for us. I'm sorry, but it's upsetting. It's hard to stand silently by, while the hand that feeds us is being torn to shreds.
I don't really watch the other part of the show so i'm just curious..does Josh talk in a sexy, slow whisper to everyone or just Liv? I mean every time I see him it's all seductive, and suggestive..he's talking about jigglin' it, touchin' it or some other fun filled contact sport.

They have been incredible in the portrayal of the sl for long time & really been fighting our fight, and even if they might stray now(You know,that I am not of that opinion) Give them some credit.This is not a gay show, instead they are trying to make a lesbian love story accessible to nonlez,even doubters and homophobes.For that, they deserve support.
But like O, we are human. we need love too. so we keep hoping. Then Natalia comes along [or this GL story]. and for once it seems different. We resist, but slowly DELIBERATELY, we are sucked in by all kinds of promises. we point out all the possible pitfalls, explain how badly we can be hurt -they promise that this time it will be different. They even act that way, they show willing, they resist the usual awful cliches, in effect tell us they "know what it means to tell us they love us"
So we start to believe - wow, maybe they can really get this one right. Maybe [like Olivia said] we can get a happy ending for once. SUCKERS!!! The very day that is going to be realized we get this horrendous betrayal - N, who said she was our best friend, who "trusted us with her life", who would "die for our child", who was "tired of waiting", who "wanted all the things people in love have" - up and leaves without a word. I don't care what anyone says - that is just unforgivably cruel.
Another obstacle.More struggle.Makes for more romance to tear our hearts out, when she gets back. I'm still working my head around the sex issue. she and josh really are fantastic together, he is THE hottest and most talented man on this show, but what i found most important about this entire exchange starting with the "I can't" from Livi when she thought it was a come-on, was that there was no hint of flirtatious game playing, despite her pain or drunkeness.
Still without knowing why Dimples left, she is certain in her fidelity and commitment to her love. Nat is the only person she WANTS.

I'm not saying unwavering, uncritical support, but at least fair criticism.Not trashing.
It is really hard to discuss or argue or enjoy anything if the mood and tone comes down to sheer trashing.
I do think, that we can all agree on disagreeing,on a lot of things, but hyping each other up, in the trashing of people, who've really gone out there and done so much for us.
I'm sorry, but it's upsetting.
It's hard to stand silently by, while the hand that feeds us is being torn to shreds.
I don't really watch the other part of the show so i'm just curious..does Josh talk in a sexy, slow whisper to everyone or just Liv? I mean every time I see him it's all seductive, and suggestive..he's talking about jigglin' it, touchin' it or some other fun filled contact sport.

And what a waste!Don't go all murderous on a few soap writers, who have just been whipped upon the head w/ the cancellation of their life's work.
They have been incredible in the portrayal of the sl for long time & really been fighting our fight, and even if they might stray now(You know,that I am not of that opinion) Give them some credit.This is not a gay show, instead they are trying to make a lesbian love story accessible to nonlez,even doubters and homophobes.For that, they deserve support.
But like O, we are human. we need love too. so we keep hoping. Then Natalia comes along [or this GL story]. and for once it seems different. We resist, but slowly DELIBERATELY, we are sucked in by all kinds of promises. we point out all the possible pitfalls, explain how badly we can be hurt -they promise that this time it will be different. They even act that way, they show willing, they resist the usual awful cliches, in effect tell us they "know what it means to tell us they love us"
So we start to believe - wow, maybe they can really get this one right. Maybe [like Olivia said] we can get a happy ending for once.
SUCKERS!!! The very day that is going to be realized we get this horrendous betrayal - N, who said she was our best friend, who "trusted us with her life", who would "die for our child", who was "tired of waiting", who "wanted all the things people in love have" - up and leaves without a word. I don't care what anyone says - that is just unforgivably cruel.

but somehow I think it is just going to be more Frank - freaking about preg Natalia and generally being in the way, Rafe whining about his "Gay" mother, Rafe making horrid evil remarks to Olivia with no beat down, Fr. Ray raising his devil eyebrows, and the girls hesitant and weak. That will just kill me.

So here is my take: we all feel completely bewildered and gutshot the same way Olivia does right now. Usually we know better than to get wrapped up in a Same sex story on TV since they are by and large crap. we guard our hearts and stay detached. We know it is going to end badly, since it always does [like Olivia's relationships]. we assume we are being used on some level, and we are.
one question: why are they using always water when the characters are supposed to drink wine?
