    Alittle misty eyed watching this, nice tribute to Vaughn who sadly is no longer with us and McCallum who has found a new generation of fans on "NCIS" the two sexiest super spys ever on TV, Vaughn's Solo was slightly older and handsome and McCallum's Kuryakin mysterious and and oh so so smoking hot.

      Hear, hear! Cheers to them both, what a joy it was to see them onscreen together. I'm so happy for David, he clearly loves acting still and I'm proud to know he's happily working and finding new fans so many years later. And Robert was such an intelligent, good-humored man, he is missed and remembered with love!

      MFU is still my most favorite spy/mystery/cop/detective etc. show of all time! ❤️❤️ It is better than all the NCIS'S AND CSI'S! MFU was clean, riveting, exciting, and sexy too! David McCallum is still a heartthrob to me, and yes, smokin' hot! Robert Vaughn too!

      I've gratefully watched you making a comprehensive playlist of M-Vids over time. I counted about 230. Have you ever thought there should be some kind of fanvid-emmy award by genre. That would be so cool to do.

    United Network Command for Law and Enforcement. I was a top U.N.C.L.E agent at age 11, had a Barretta look alike pistol assigned to me that fired rubber bullets and kept it tucked in a shoulder harness. I have since retired but always looking over my shoulder.

    I remember as a kid there was a toy replica of their pistol, it came with a extension for the barrel and a rifle stock and a magazine. Does anybody else remember?

    A fine tribute to Mr McCallum : note that all the clips are from season one. The song S.K. is by singer-songwriter Dessa, who lives in Minneapolis. Collaborating with her is her friend Aby Wolf, also of Minneapolis.
    And since ‘all roads lead to Rome’, guess where Robert Vaughn grew up? Yup. / danke for the editing & posting !

      Thanks so much for your lovely comment, I'm so happy you enjoyed the vid! Yes, I did include song credit to Dessa in the vid's description, but I realize that's not automatically visible for viewers on mobile phones, so I appreciate your taking the time to add the credit in your comment here :) And I didn't know about the Minneapolis connection, how fun! The vibe of the song felt perfect for the noir-ish look of S1 -- someday I hope I find the right song for a vid of the colorized seasons! I await inspiration on that front :) Thanks so much for stopping by to watch this!

      What a lovely message, thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed the vid :) The video editing software that I used to make this vid was actually free! It's called Lightworks, and the free version they offer on their website is a great program. You just have to keep entering your username and password when you sign in and it will keep issuing you free licenses. If you'd like to upgrade to "Lightworks Create" it only costs $10 a month and gives you the ability to upload videos in higher definition (1080p rather than 720p). I hope you enjoy learning to vid! I started about three years ago and it's been a really fun hobby. The learning curve at first can be a little daunting, though, so I recommend finding an online vidding community where you can get advice from fellow vidders to help you learn :) Good luck, I can't wait to see *your* MFU vids!!

      @@educatedinyellow8189 Oh they're out there, that's why I can appreciate your talent. How do you get around the copyright police. Do you think that's what's reduced the number of MFU vids we see now. Does Lightworks Create sychronize the sound with video? Right now I use multipe free software programs, but would transition to Adobe if it would do it all.

    • @educatedinyellow8189
      @educatedinyellow8189  Před 2 lety +2

      @@retrostarz3888 ah, that's wonderful, I should have known you were already an MFU vidder! :) Oh, the copyright issue hasn't been a problem since I don't monetize anything on my channel, and as long as I don't try to make any money, fanvidding falls under Fair Use legal standards (I think I'm right in saying that the Library of Congress went so far as to decide that making copies of copyrighted material for the purpose of creating free fanvids deserved an exemption to copyright limitations, yay!) So no, I have not had troubles in that area, especially since I just relied on my own DVDs for the source clips. I'm not sure why there aren't more MFU vids in recent years, especially since there's still new fic coming out just about as steadily as ever. The ways of fandom are mysterious! Regarding your question, you can edit audio (both music and dialogue) inside all versions of Lightworks, yes, though you usually need to convert your music into a wav file so the program can process it (it has trouble with mp3 files). I've never used Adobe, but I'm sure it's got a lot of great features, too :)

    When I was young and watched this show when it came out, I was so shocked when I found out the actor who played Ilya wasn't really Russian. When I heard him speak in his British accent I was so disappointed. So funny to think about at age 66.
