1) If you want public to use recycled paper, you need to bring it down to the level of white paper price if not cheaper. This might help.
2) In our country, if you use the other blank side of already used paper, people call you poor and kanjoos
3) Most government related work including courts work on papers and papers, government need to lead from front to bring the change

@@cyphergaurav Really, in which state. I see that they have priced 500 sheets of A4 at Rs. 295 and I think you shipping charges on top of it. You get white paper A4 white sheets for Rs. 230-250 in offline market.
Offline copies are way cheaper.
Recycled paper is NOT cheap. You can't change habits of people unless the new ones are affordable.
@Introvert Teen trust me I'm more than eager to use it & contribute my bit for environmental improvement. However I am not getting it in Mumbai & getting it shipped from elsewhere makes it costly or price wise at par with white paper.

I think over the years we have created a stigma arround us that any thing that is reused or recyclable is cheap and it hinders with our image. But honestly way back in olden times this was the best system that was followed and now we are complicating our lives with so much of waste generation.... It's high time we wake up ... i dont even use off white pages. i use rough dark pages for solving questions and making notes ..and i have been using these pages for last 3 yrs.

I am using rescript recycled paper mentioned in this video. These are really good for printing. I use it for my office work. The only problem is their shipping charges. For one ream which costs around ₹289, they charge ₹80 which is very high. If you buy 3 reams of paper, then there is no shipping charges. But everybody do not require 3 reams every time. They should consider reducing the shipping charges. They can be purchased from Amazon.

It is a good video. In my opinion, concept recycling paper is not a new one and is being used in many leading paper industries. And the plantations raised by the paper industries with selective varieties and clones of high quality pulp yielding species contibute to the green cover as the plantation will be raised in private land outside existing forest cover. These industrial plantations contribute in carbon sequestration as species selected will be fast growing. But the major drawback is in paper making process having significant carbon footprint. That is why replacing paper is a better idea and using recycled paper can be the first step.

But we usually see the tissue paper we use are plain white, so instead of focusing to reduce off-white paper(recycled) in our daily/office use, shouldn't this be focused at recycling old paper to produce tissue paper instead where I think the acceptance of white/off-white wouldn't matter?
Tissue paper are lot soft whereas recycled papers usually will have that hard texture so don't know if it can work as tissue paper. But do agree that in other areas like in rough work, unofficial work and like in case of tissues recycled papers should be used.

Correct. When bigger companies enter into recycling phase, the cost will definitely get reduce due to competition and new technology.
Unfortunately it's not that easy but with demand it will become cheaper. However their price range is not too high.

@@saisreethamtheegela2081 MYTH ... so many big paper mills are producing recycled paper in Europe with latest technology but they can't reduce prices as de inking process is too costly. To get used paper from different places to mill ... just think of transportation .... actually you are polluting environment by burning more fuel & paying double for the actual product.
Correct ... recycled paper made with post consumer waste after de inking process will cost you double than any ordinary writing paper.

Normal white paper in notebooks and registers is also made from the materials the 'rescript' people use. It is used in the manufacturing, people don't know the process, but just keep saying trees are cut to make paper. Only less than 1% of tree pulp is uses in making paper, which is imported from outside and that too is being reduced, to 0%. Hence, not only yellow paper , normal white paper is also made from the same material!!
