    I hate fitness. A former passion of mine has now become a hatred because of bodybuilding. Bodybuilding has destroyed the concept of fitness being about being fit, healthy, and making your life better. The modern day fitness influencers are scammers.

    This is probably the best video mario has uploaded on his channel, many people dislike him because of his shorts format, but this man is helping people wayyy more then bodybuilding fitness influencers who take a ton of gear. I really think you should start focusing more on long form and uploading more long videos instead of shorts.

    Unfortunately, some people still say "He is bigger than you, why would I listen to you" which proves that people are brainwashed by the so-called "fitness" influencers. You changed my mindset about fitness and what it should be and I am grateful for it. The long-form videos are a great source of valuable information, and I wish they would reach a larger audience.

    Thanks Mario for preaching the right way to train. When I first started lifting I listened to all these so called fitness experts and my football or soccer performance as you guys call it drastically fell. I stopped playing and began athletically bodybuilding last year and now I’m back playing and I can say I’ve been performing the best I ever have been

    You honestly saved me from bodybuilding. A year ago I was doing Will Tennyson's leg routine with barbell squats added in as well because I had always loved heavy compound lifts. I originally didn't like your content but as I watched more of you and your brother it honestly changed my fitness goals for the better. I feel healthier and stronger than ever thanks to listening to what you two had to say. This was my favorite video from you because it's exactly how I feel.

    Mario you saved my ass. When i first saw one of your shorts i was a body building geek. (I literally only used machines and never did any compound lifts), i hated you because all others in comments section was disagreeing with your video.     the things you said about people believing what everyone says is actually so true. my friend says that he put on 20 lbs of muscle, and i told him its not possible because of my knowledge from your videos. me and him are both only 13, and hes looked the same for over a year. he said it was definitely humanly possible, and i told him no matter how badly he tries to get me to believe him im not going to. he also has no idea how to train, shown by his advice for bicep imbalances is to take a weaker weight for your weaker arm. your videos have helped me realize that fitness transformations take time and shouldnt be rushed. thank you for producing honest content like this, man.

Honestly, this is a true insight, and the real reason why I follow your content, I am part of the Leon Edwards Crew, before meeting you I already disliked fitness influencers. And I dedicated my time to learning more about martial arts (in my case I have been a kickboxing competitor for 4 years). Keep making this content, there is nothing similar to this on social media.

    If you haven't already,heres a guide to fix your (probably) fucked up mentality towards fitness.
    1. Delete instagram,or make a new account that doesn't have fitness in the recommended
    2. Dont look at TikTok comments on fitness videos (i can't tell you to delete tiktok since I've never used it, so idk how it feels)
    3. You can watch fitness influencers on CZcams,but depending on who they are,take their advice with a grain of salt (i dont need to say names here)
    4. Realise you'll never be as big as your pump and that if you are not on steroids,you shouldn't compare to people who could be on them.
    5. Stop being a gymcel - there are other parts to life outside of the gym, and fitness should be used to AMPLIFY who you are,not take over your life.
    Good video btw theres gonna be a lot of people calling you a hypocrite,but they dont get the big picture.

    A lot of what was said in this video came from feelings and not facts. The best thing you can do for your health when you exercise is build a lot of muscle, work on your cardio, and stretch to not be stiff if that’s an issue. All this can be done in whatever way you want, from machines, cables, free weights or bodyweight training. You said machines were a shortcut but what shortcut? If you gain the same benefits it’s not a shortcut it’s just called training smarter. Either way, a person should train how they like, there is no one way to fitness, use what you got and what you prefer.

    Fax tho, I’d rather take advice from somebody natural who had to work hard for their physique and got certified to give the programs and information instead of somebody who just took steroids and lifting weights which in reality isn’t that hard, and coming from me who is a national level boxer Mario also gets a lot of his content on fighting correct, it’s like my dad always said, “always act like the dumbest person in the room because the dumbest person learns more than the smartest”

    remember when you said you wanted to fight Connor Sinnan in Kickboxing i think you could try find an opponent to fight in Brand Risk Promotions(Adin Ross' kickboxing promotion) or Karate combat an up and coming striking league hosting banger events with well known and also skilled fighters.
    As a fan would love to see you step in the pit(karate combat) or in a kickboxing ring against maybe another "fitness influencer" or even just a regular fighter of your size and weight

    As much as I hated hearing this guys voice, I’ve gained a total different perspective in all my workouts. It’s crazy how much better I feel all because of Mario. I am definitely a huge fan of Sulek, Alex Eubank, CBUM and all of these other fitness figures, but I don’t think anything has changed my perspective as much as Mario.

    Bro sometimes your videos make me laugh a lot but you have changed how I think about fitness too. I used to play as a forward for my highschool soccer team. I was very strong and explosive but I felt like I was not big enough so I joined the gym. Ever since I started taking the gym too seriousliy, I went into a gym bro spiral becoming bulkier which made me lose all my athletic abllity. What made it worse is that I wasn't even feeling good from the inside while eating BS foods just because they are high in protein. More younger guys should really listen to this advice !

      Because at least UFC fighters do something. Bodybuilders just pose on stage meanwhile UFC fighters beat each other up.
      The UFC fighters do something which actually have some need for steroid usage. Whilst bodybuilding you can just build a physique naturally.

      Weighted dips, heavy bench press, tricep push downs, do one warm up set of each exercise then do 2 heavy sets of each that’s it

      @@ekie7473 incline bench heavy with 1 warm up set, apply the 1 warm up set and 2 heavy sets with high intensity with each exercise you do on the days you workout. Working out this way reduces the amount of time in the gym and maximizes the result of strength and size, strength is more important but size will follow.

      ​@@ekie7473 Incline bench and decline deficit weighted pushups are pretty good. Choose one and do the other on another push day, then keep alternating between them.
      If ur doing upper chest then it's best to have just one other exercise for the lower chest.

    i disagree with the fact that enhanced fitness influencers can’t give naturals advice, they were natural once too and i understand that training is different (volume), but overall it’s basically the same stuff, i don’t disagree with what you say and think you should have a platform, i just disagree with a couple of things and agree with others

    isn't isolation safer than compound movements?
    for example you are much more likely to injure yourself while doing squat or deadlift rather than leg press or something similar
    and cannot isolation exercises help you with your compound movements? for example I am doing isolation exercises for my forearms so I can do pull ups better

      Not really, compound movements are not as dangerous as people think. Old school bodybuilders preach how their routines are based mostly on compounds and it's the tested and genuine exercises that withstood the test of time that are the most effective. Also isolation movements are not inherently "safer", many people tear their biceps on curl machines. Most of us already don't do abs or low back exercises compounds are actually keeping us from snap city and those who do get injured are usually ego lifters. I've never ego lifted and haven't injured myself once but I still do PR lifts. Lastly I'd advise you to just do the pull ups, coming from a guy who couldn't do one but culd pull a whole stack from the lat pull down machine, the exercise itself will develp your forearms as you progress.

      @@studentoflife8532 I quickly looked up exercises with highest risk of injury and it overwhelmingly show olympic lifts (snatched etc...), heavy compound movements (squats and deadlifts) and then complex gymnastics for example handstand push ups
      The old school bodybuilders had crappy plans to exercise because they were doing crap ton of sets and weren't getting enough rest. The sole reason why they could somehow do it was cause of steroid abuse.
      People even died while doing squats. You don't hear people dying due to bicep curls.
      Also just claiming that all injuries from compound lifts is due to ego lifting while bicep curls is because the exercise is bad is the biggest nonsense I have ever heard.

      @@theunfortunetone8452 I'll try to keep an open mind since English is not everyone's first language nor mine but I think it's pretty clear to anyone that I only gave the bicep curl machine as an example to show both compounds and isolation movements can be dangerous. Neither is better or worse and have their own place in every routine. However, just because of a few idiots who don't know their own limits or payed any attention to form or tempo have injured themselves it doesn't mean that compounds or isolation movements are unsafe.
      Indeed snatches and Olympic lifts are prone to accidents, there's no denying that, even pros with years of experience have gotten injured during training. But why would you or any average lifter care? I'm not doing snatches, I'm not a powerlifter. I'm also definitely not lifting heavy all the time on deadlifts and squats, I want to enduce growth so I'll ofcourse use a weight that I can take to the average rep range.
      Now I try to take a nuanced approach to this kind of thing but it's undeniable that compounds forces the whole body to get used to the movement, any lacking muscle is eventually developed to execute the movement better while machines just isolate the targeted muscle and it's clear that having no weakness in regards to movement is healthier and better, that's Mario's whole point.
