Cool job. I think you won first prize. Once you have your strips cut on a shear you can scrap the sharp edge off, then I used rivet washers on the back. It turned out good an took about 3hrs. I didn't use bolts just rivets to hold to the frame.

Thanks... yeah I didn't have access to shear... Hopefully, my frame will be painted soon & I'll get that seat mounted soon...

Hmmm, Leonard's design does look cool, but I wonder about the choice of material. Why is the wing covered in Dacron instead of aluminum? Because it's lighter. So, make the seat out of pinked strips of fabric and glue them to the top and bottom tubes. You can glue where the woven strips overlap.
Alternatively, you can make it out of one piece of fabric and punch out holes with a hot die.
Heat the fabric to get the amount of sag you like.

hmmm may have to try that theory out sometime... I wonder if that could hold up my 200+ ... but I am happy with my 10 ounce version...
