@@prettypastelwaffles4861 Believe me friend that I can understand your pain, really. I spent most of my life hating my father and asking him why. Why was he not coming to see me? And besides, he made many excuses.
Until one day I go from being a child to an adult when I traveled to the US alone and I had to face life for myself, I got into a lot of trouble and life started throwing curveballs at me which I did not know how to deal with it. Besides that I had to work very hard to get out of there, and then I came to realize that I had the same problems or similar to those that my father had And then I came to understand that because of work and day-to-day ambitions (even despite his vices) he couldn't get to see me.
Despite his strengths and weaknesses, one day I called him and asked his forgiveness for so many years in which I did not come to appreciate the work that he did even for himself or perhaps in the little things in which he supported me.
He forgave me and I forgive him And from then on, after 18 years of hating him, I came to respect him and value him even more despite the distance. Since he is in Nicaragua he calls me more he is already looking for me, we are improving our relationship despite the distance ... Since I forgive him until today I have lived much better and I have felt blessed. Forgive your father and believe me that forgiveness is powerful, it will be much better for you in life, I have lived this and it is true.
@@prettypastelwaffles4861 hey buddy, as someone who was rejected by both of his parents i really feel your pain. but i just want you to know that the decisions some parents make have nothing to do with the children (you in this case), but that they're just selfish and do what they want without thinking about that they might hurt their children in the process.
try to accept that it happened, as hard as that might seem. Try to focus on the people that are still in your life at this moment who love you, and not on the people that aren't.
