    His greatest horror role. The idea of using a dish washer to cook a troute is simply unearthly.

      It’s the same as sous vide.

    • @CEETEEEFF13
      @CEETEEEFF13 Před rokem +3

      @@bt3722 no it isn’t. Sous vide would mean it is completely immersed in a water bath and held at a very specific temperature the whole time. This is none of those things. This is basically just steaming.

    That wasn't salmon that Vincent Price cooked in the dishwasher, that was a trout.

    I've been married so many times I could bone ANYTHING. That's the kind of wordplay I have come to expect from the man who raps for The Thriller. True professionalism at its best, he didn't even react to his own joke even after the punchline, he KNOWS how that joke is meant to be delivered. He pulled it off FLAWLESSLY!

      too bad price's comedic talents were underused. he did have a bit of a droll delivery in some of his movies that worked but surprisingly it wasnt over the top for the 60s, 70s.

      I just scored it at a thrift store. For 16$. That's SIXTEEN dollars. I was there looking for a dish suitable for Daupinois. Got that as well.

    I watched this as a kid, my parents watched of course, and my mom loved to cook. I remembered it because it was so odd to me but for some reason thought it was the washing machine 😅 and my mom forgot it. Boned up on it now and didn't get the joke as a kid but just 😆 right now.

    I don't have a dishwasher. I must buy one to cook fish. I like steamed fish but don't want a smelly microwave.

  • @m1sterrattles764
    @m1sterrattles764 Před 2 lety +8

    Basically he’s done a sous vide on the fish...i.e. the water bath that modern professional chefs use where the food is sealed in a bag and placed in hot water for a time to cook. Fish is usually about 56c so a dishwasher wouldn’t be far off that. Retains the flavour and is very hard to overlook. All the Michelin restaurants use one (A sous vide that is, not a dishwasher !)

      @christophermarquez, you’re not wrong! Voice Actor Maurice Lamarche does a fine Vincent Price impression. Besides Mom’s son from Futurama, Lamarche also voices Vincent Van Ghoul in Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated. Vincent Van Ghoul is a fictionalized version of Vincent Price, originally performed by Vincent Price in The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo!
