Love this, this gives so many ideas…..but y’all cracked me up….not the measuring tape and celery……😂😂😂😂
Good eye😉
Great build, but man the measuring tape mic setup....I'm dead!!!!!😂😂😂
Favorite built of a ford E!! Also loving the celery stick mic 😂❤
Thank you! And the who would have thought plants would have such good audio…
Thanks for sharing you ingenuity and creation. Great Job
Such a nice video you made! Best luck both of you! Reasonable solutions. Just how it is have to be. Stay safe!
Neat build. I like the storage.
Yoooo this is amazing. Living through y’all now.
Dude i love the bed design!
Thank you! I was pretty stoked on how it came out.
Bought a 1999 e350 83k miles old inmate transport to live in, to escape this halfway house and west Phoenix hood. Maybe I'll go manual on my fan too. Great advice thank you!!!!
One less thing to break.
This was in my CZcams feed today and I totally enjoyed what you did with the van. I know it’s been sold, but I learned so much to build my van once I am able to get one. What I first noticed was your microphone setup. I have the same wired-earphone get-up. So was it just for show, or does it actually work as a microphone?
Earphones were just for show but the celery and tape measure itself records great audio
I really like this less windows more privacy great headroom
Absolutely! And those those top windows make it easy to see outside but hard for people to see in
Sweet build, I really like that layout. What size tire are you running? And its stock height?
I appreciate it. Ya I don’t have it any more so I can’t double check but if I remember correctly I’m pretty sure they were 265/70/17. Stock height but it did have the tow package so there was an add-a-leaf on the back.
That’s a functional buildout! One question: how did you attach the wood ‘shelf’ around the lip of the high top/old roof?
When cutting the original roof off I left a small overhang which I then was able to sandwich a shelf on there and it was surprisingly sturdy
Excellent, thanks for getting back to me!
@@boesigergentry
May I ask, did you buy the shelf somewhere? If so, where? I have same setup in which I am trying to sandwich some shelving on top of the lip
Great job, I have a fibreglass roof, which adhesive did you use to put head liner on? Also what is the headliner fabric it looks nice?
The old trusty super 77 spray. Can’t go wrong. For the fabric I just went to a fabric store and browsed my options
Nice trim on the Ceder siding. Who did that?
Appa will be missed, but I'm happy Appa has found a new forever home.
Yes cedar excellent
Do you mind if I ask how tall the fiberglass high top is? I am 6'2 and trying to imagine how tall the topper would need to be to allow me to stand. Sounds like you're in a similar position. Thanks!
Unfortunately I don’t have a measurement on the top itself since I found it at a scrap yard and shaped it myself which took away from the height. That being said I’m 6’3” and if I was 6’2” I could stand up perfectly
I watched the whole video and didn't realize the mic handle was a stalk of celery until the end. lol
Watch it again and catch what the first mic was and see if you can spot the change 😅
How did you put up the boards to the fiberglass roof/top?
I can’t remember right of exactly but if I was to throw one out there it was probably a tight bond marine adhesive that comes in the caulk gun set up.
Do you run the a/c all night in hot climates?
There is no a/c other than the one in the cab. We do usually run the maxxair fan mostly all the time when it’s hot and we are usually good for bed up until like 95f during the day
Is it listed on vancamper ? How much if you don’t mine me asking
Already sold sorry
Did you decide to sell? If so,price?
I did end up selling
What kind of gas mileage does this get. Im looking at one.
Not amazing but no large van with a home in the back of it will. It wasn’t to far off the original mileage but I never did an official test
4.6 or 5.4?
5.4😉
What’s difference in 4.6 and 5.4 ? Is 5.4 more bigger and stronger or more power engine then 4.6? Thanks
@@orientexpressVanlife there you go. That’s it for the most part
4.6 will get 16-18 mpg, a 5.4 13-15 mpg. I have owned both
Is it still for sale?
Unfortunately already sold
Is this Van for sale?
Unfortunately already sold
You just added more weight , more gas sucking , harder 2 Park in cities like LA with signs saying no parking over 7 ft. can't park where cars park like low level parking garages ! Forget free parking in big cities etc. But you have a little more room in van . But Less versatility!
Don’t like LA but I do like to stand.
all about you eh?
Every story needs a main character 😉
I love vanlife but this is one of the ugliest van builds I’ve seen. I didn’t even know I was picky until I saw this one. Colors are horrible and who would cook on the edge of the driver’s seat? Is that really where you want your fire?
‘Sage splendor’ is the exact tone if you were thinking about repainting your cardboard box
Hi you guys did great job on your build. Did you made magnetic cover for the back door windows yourself? I’m looking for cover like that for my E-350 but haven’t found no where. Appreciate your sharing.
Yes! Made them ourselves. We couldn’t find full sets either.
I shopped around for econoline window covers and Vanmade Gear was the most cost friendly. They are EXCELLENT covers: warm in winter, cool in summer, and nice looking to boot. And the company was A++ to deal with (I ordered the wrong ones and they contacted me to ask if I'd gotten it right - I hadn't).
@@LaraSatoriHarris thanks for sharing.
I’ll try and see what I can find there.
See Sokozi for window shades. They are great. Google it
