Was lucky enough to see this tour come through Vegas when I was 15 years old. Now at 53 I still have my entire record collection from those days and Ronnie's albums are some of my most prized pieces. I saw this tour live and it was phenomenal! Dio and Priest were the some of the first acts to incorporate laser technology into their light shows and seeing it live was amazing and that dragon was mind blowing! The only other act at that time that rivaled Dio’s Sacred Heart tour as far as stage show was Kiss. Everybody that went to this concert talked about it for years. You got your money’s worth when you saw a concert in the 80s.
The theater act during the Sacred Heart song was so much fun to watch. Give a shout out to Vinny Appice who is one of metal's most underrated drummers. I miss these kinds of shows.

Ronnie James Dio is forever my dude! I saw him live in 03 w/ Maiden headlining and his set was absolutely KILLER! When the lights blacked out and a single beam of red light in the center of the stage illuminated Dio's face was the baddest shit! A true showman and legend! RIP!

I saw this show in the UK and ranks as my favourite ever. Denzil the dragon (as we called him) was a bit underwhelming but the performance was awesome. Only two come close - Scorpions Donington 86 and Pink Floyd Manchester 88. It's a close call but Run DMC get a very close call into my top 3. Great upload.

Craig Goldy is such an amazing player. This version of Man On The Silver Mountain is my go-to, love the way Craig plays it. Tried playing it his way but couldn’t even get close lol. People talk about Vivian more (he’s awesome too!) but Craig definitely needs to be talked about more.

Let me explain , this amazing dwarf guy belongs a badass fucking generation of rock'n roll singers such as Coverdale , Halford, Gillan, Plant and another guys were choosed by the gods of metal and we got a tough decision to choose one among them. So that's why i consider this generation like no other one for sure , cuz they all were absolutely impressive and undisputetly out of this world .

Sacred Heart show is the best of Dio’s performances in my opinion. So theatrical, with amazing line-up, and Dio's voice is flying so free!

I saw DIO twice in Gothenburg Sweden in the '80s. I'm 54 now and this is still my music.
