These photos give context to the times we lived through, my parents born the 1920's, their parents in the very late 1800's ... my brothers and I from 1947-1960. It helps me remember the times of our lives as so very much has changed and sometimes it is easy to forget that!

Funny thing is I used to work on the 46th floor of a Manhattan building overlooking Central Park and I was fine. I've also lived in several high-rises and gone on rooftops. None of that bothers me because I have floors and windows. These guys out on thin beams in the open elements, that's a very different story ... I walked over the Royal George bridge in Colorado Springs and the gaps in the boards made me nervous at first but I got used to it. I think I have selective acrophobia ...lol

Those two blizzards are something else. Of course the one in the Midwest was stronger, but that one in New York City must have been crippling. I lived there as a child, and sometimes it snowed pretty heavily. They don't show it much in pictures or on TV because they have a cultivated image for the city. Still, snowplows go through the streets in Manhattan every winter that I know of. They just had some pretty generous snowfall there.

If possible. Could you find any old pictures of Michael Jackson????? I absolutely love your videos. No matter what I see, I can always visualize and hear what it must’ve been like during that time. Good, bad, wholesome, heartbreaking, defeat, victorious. It feels good just as much as it hurts, but I don’t regret it. The music choices on the piano grabs me every time like it explains each picture without words. ✨💕

The little girl watching her dad's acrobatics in 1940 might still be with us. If she was three years old there, she'd be eighty-seven now.
