STORYLINE:
Activists and aid workers from numerous international aid NGO’s are gearing up for another attempt to break through the Israeli blockade and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
A coalition of organizations, including the IHH and the Mavi Marmara Association from Turkey, who were the organizers of the 2010 Flotilla, is preparing to set sail soon aboard the ship "Akdeniz."
Ann Wright, an activist and retired U.S. Army colonel, emphasized the perceived failure of governments worldwide to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Wright also warned that the trip is dangerous and cautioned it would be a “big problem for Israel” if they were to attack the boats.
The exact launch date remains unclear but preparations are underway inside the cargo hold, where activists are sorting aid.
On May 31, 2010, Israeli commandos stormed the Mavi Marmara in international waters, leading to an altercation which left nine people dead and dozens of activists wounded.
On the Israeli side, seven soldiers were wounded by activists who attacked them with clubs, knives and pipes.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition includes the IHH and the Mavi Marmara Association from Turkey, as well as several other organizations from Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.

@@williamdavis9562 Depends, if they did make it, it would be a chaotic thing when they arrive and I think they have not prepared for that. But if they manage to get to the sea, the Israeli military are not going to treat them very nice. It's a good purpose but poorly educated attempt.
People have been "starving" in Gaza for months. It takes 3 weeks to starve to death. Where are all the images of skin and bones people??? None of this makes any sense. None whatsoever. I thought there was a brutal naval blockade? You think an unauthorized ship challenging a naval blockade during a war is going to work out? 😂😂😂

Where did you get that? You do understand that for health reasons people fast for 3 weeks just to clean their body out right? It is called a water fast.
No way anyone would die after 3 weeks unless they already had severe health issues and metabolic disease. Your average American would probably last about 4 months without food using their stored body fat for energy without too many complications. Fat people can go much longer without many issues. I'm fairly in shape and I've done 21 day fasts (no food) and felt just fine. (look it up)
When you have a concentration camp where the people aren't allowed to grow their own food, then the apartheid state which put them into that concentration camp cuts off all avenues to have food delivered. It is demonstrably true they're running out of food and being starved to death.
You claiming they aren't being starved is akin to you telling me the earth is flat. The entire world is watching what this horror show in real time. No to mention your ridiculous pseudo science in trying to claim these people haven't been cut off from food.
Also what do you mean "unauthorized." Israel has no legal right to authorize what goes in or out of someone else's territory. There are international maritime rules pertaining to all this.
If they attack what is going in (which they've done before) they'll have to do it in waters which are not in their jurisdiction which is legally considered piracy. (Which they've done before)

During ww2 many merchant marine ships were sunk and many Americans and British lost their lives bringing food to starving Russians during the nazi blockade. My father’s cousin survived. He and his cousin would be very upset with our government aiding Israel’s blockade of food to starving Palestinians. It is not what they served for.
