- This is My Road to S+ Rank in Splatoon 3! Its a well fought journey of me obtaining S+ Rank in Splatoon 3 in under 24 Hours! It gets pretty rough since this game just launched i am fighting nothing but Top High Level Players and Pro Players almost non-stop as i fight my way to the top!
Splatoon 3 Ranked this early has by far been the most STRESSFUL Rank games i have ever played in Splatoon. My Rank Up Battle was REALLY intense in this video..

The good thing about getting to S+ is that once you’re like A+, you’re often matching with S+ players anyways
I'm still B- and it feels like everyone is still S+ 😔
A+ feels like X rank all over again, it's so tough

Often one good player that doesn't lose their mental can win a game with a really bad team
To be fair, they might have never played Rainmaker and still ranked up (remember, it's all shared until rank X).
@@dometalican1990 I've always sticked to Clam Blitz and Splat Zones on a series and I'm already A Neutral.
Mainly because Rainmaker seems questionable and Tower Control is impossible.

similar thing happened to me- i started spamming "this way" ontop of the checkpoint, then the rainmaker carrier did a double take like "oh yeah forgot about that" and ended up landing the checkpoint
@@bungacowa3851 Yeah, we're gonna see this a lot for a few weeks as everyone learns the new checkpoint system and where the checkpoints are on all the maps. Even I (as a previous X rank) am not entirely confident where they all are and what the best way to reach them all is, so I imagine if I'm not, then even newer people definitely aren't.

i really wanna know how dude is able to tap fire with the squeezer at practically the same fire rate as it's painting mode while still being pin point accurate. it's mesmerizing to watch
i found its a matter of how you press your trigger button. If you watched dudes "tearing it up with the squeezer" he presses the trigger with the top half of his index finger, but for me ive found it much easier to press it with just the tip of my index finger. This is just as comfortable as pressing the trigger and allows me to fire faster and aim more accuratly. Im not saying im as good as dude at the squeezer because that would be a like, but this is what ive found just playing around with the weapon.
I can only hope to get to your skill level someday, but I'll try my hardest to get there. You've earned yourself another subscriber, hope you hit 100k soon.

I keep getting teammates who refuse to play objective. I'll have a ball in clams or the rainmaker and my teammates are halfway across the map painting a corner or something. Ranked in genuinely more difficult at lower ranks purely due to the fact that you're more likely to be placed with people who don't know how to coordinate well.
Exactly! I have that same problem, and when I do get good teammates, they leave after the match is over!
Yeah and unfortunately there’s no good way to fix this issue cause determining skill off past matches is basically the problem and there’s no way to automatically rank in an individual way kinda sucks
I don't think you understand how ranked works in S3. If you get stuck on a bad team but truly carry, you will get medals (most splats, most time on the tower, most turf inked, etc) With enough gold medals, you can literally rank up without winning at all. Once you get past the lower ranks if you are actually good, you should also find smarter teammates and then start getting wins. The new system is SO GOOD. Just push the objective and try to carry as best you can. You'll earn Rank Points if you deserve them :)

@@GamingProsAdventure ohhhh yeah, that totally makes sense!! They COMPLETELY overhauled the ranking system. Now individual team members are scored based on objective metrics - it makes a WORLD of difference. You're going to love it when you finally get the game :)
I just got S+ last night. I'm currently S+0
And the first 2 matches I had in "Open" I lost but got 3 medals.
It was a pain to get this far, but at least I feel like I earned it
Just a note: if you’re playing Solo then play Series. Open allows people to team up with friends, and communicating on Voice Chat vs a team with silence isn’t fair in the slightest

@@trevhart2124 Yeah well the "voice chat" is only with friends and it's basically people using the Nintendo Online app on their phones to talk to each other. So you might as well use Discord for all the difference that make.
@@littleguystar series just feels like the whole ranking process itself you either gain a lot or lose a lot. Open feels like playing ranked for fun because the points gained and lost is so minimal it doesn't matter as much.

Also can i just say that i love the use if PMD music in the intros, please never drop doing that at least in rotation with others, PMD and Splatoon are among my favorites and hearing them together feels so g o o d!

bro you inspired me to play squeezer because of cleanly you use it, i think i actually might main it cause im consistently getting 15-20 kills a game, keep up the awesome plays always a joy to watch.

me too… i keep on getting losses and rlly short matches in rainmaker and sometimes tower control
I just got into S rank today and it was such a struggle. So many people in A rank wants to be the hero and they always just rush in. I’m like, “HOLD PLEASE!” But nah. They just go in and die immediately. I’ve done the rank up matches like 3 times just because people can’t push with numbers advantage and retreat with numbers disadvantage. Thankfully S rank players are a little more competent but I still see that there are the few lucky rushers who made it into S rank. If you’ve died 5 times but have yet to get a kill, maybe change the way you’re approaching not a little, but by a lot.
No the hell they ain't, they are the worse when it comes to coordinating anything I just lost 12 matches in a row today playing in all four modes I'm stuck in s rank and more likely that where I will stay cuz I'm always having the worse luck getting stuck in Incompent teammates and second they don't play to their weapon strengths
@Joshua Murphy lol in today’s climate, you’re absolutely correct. Back when the game started, what I said was correct but it’s completely inaccurate now. I was in X rank last season but didnt do too well so i ranked down and had to replay S Rank. Yeah, S rank is just riddled with rushers now. It took me i think 2 weeks to get back into X rank. A whole lot of patience and luck. Good luck out there.

I think they changed the matching algorithm. I honestly think, over all, it's more balanced. I've experienced more intense games per sit down than I remember from Splat2n.

If it’s your first time focus on single player or turf war for a few weeks. The players in low ranked right now aren’t new and you’ll loose the experience of learning together.
Just got this game about a week ago. Never played a splatoon but hate mw2 right now so gave it a try. Had really bad connection issues my first few days but that seems fixed. Having a blast. Getting the hang of it in turf wars. 2 days off coming up after today so I'm going to be getting into anarchy battles/ranked then. These videos help as I know I'm in for a fun ride. Happy splatting.
I had the exact same thing happen to me in Rainmaker lmao. Luckily it was just an Anarchy Open match so it didn't matter but man I was malding afterwards, and I never mald.
Watching your gameplay made me get splatoon I have no regrets
I'm currently stuck in B rank hell. But I can at least see the improvements that let me slowly crawl the ladder even on my worst days
B+ rank up battle is rigged af because of your teammates, so enjoy carrying 3 teammates for 3 games in a row because I’m certainly not 😞

Rank up matches are the most stressful thing in ranked for me especially for A+ to S

Dude is killing it, lvl 16 and already in rank S.
I mean, i am lvl 17 and slowly inching my way towards rank A.
but then again my aim - despite improved a lot lately - by means comparable to Dude's
honestly im happy i made it to s this early these games have been more intense than anything i played in splatoon 2
One bit of advice that really helps me use squeezer is when tap firing fast take tumb off right control stick. Dunno why but it helps me.

Every time i see a Srb video, I think, wow, that weapon is so good I need to start using it and I'm slowly realizing it's not the weapon, its the wielder.

I had someone do the same thing with the rainmaker except it was on mahi and it was the final podium. We had it complete control and they just ran straight towards the ramp up to the enemy spawn instead.

was completly dumbfounded in one of my ranked series games dude picks up the rainmaker and 2 other teammates follow him and then runs past the checkpoint and straight to the goal not once but twice!

Haven't put many hours in, but lost my A+->S rank up a few days ago, got absolutely slapped it was super competitive. Will make another push at it and aim to get to S+ today!

I am languishing in B- right now, I can’t seem to climb out of it. In Splatoon 2 I was consistently X rank in all rank types so I’m surprised it’s such a grind. I’m not good enough to carry a whole team and I keep getting matched up with people that will play well and then a team that is terrible (I do like the option they gave you to keep playing with a team you work well with now). I will win 3 then lose 4.
I think there are a lot of high rank players working up the ranks right now so it’s a mish mash with every team. You can tell at the end of the match when one of the players on a team will have like 30 splats lol

I'm just hoping and praying that the latency gets gixed, because i lost 3 different seties fights in a row thanks to someone not dying despite shooting them several times. I was using the .52 gal. And other times someone is aiming to the right of me and i still die. I've just been playing salmon run trying to get to eggsecutive v.i.p. but glowflies suck. I swear they're just an instant lose button.

I de ranked my self from S to B+ and it took me five days to get back to S and now I’m hard stuck again
I keep encountering an issue in series mode where I will win a game, the victory animations/screens play, and then I'm told the game did not complete and I'm given a loss. It's happened to me three times in the past two days now, which is really making me not want to play ranked anymore. I hope this issue gets fixed soon.
seeing dude at S+ 21 already makes me think its really not my teams and i need to pick up a slayer weapon and carry harder

Dude, what’s your best tips on improving aim? I’ve been playing splatoon 2-3 for a while but still feel like I lose 10-15% of 1v1s purely off of bad aim. What’s ur thoughts on an aim training excercise?
Are you using motion controls? Because all pros use that in their games. I think there's like only one guy who managed to go pro with stick controls. If you do use motion controls arleady and still have trouble aiming, experiments with the motion sensitivity until you find something you find comfortable to play with.
I do play on motion controls and I’m very comfortable with it. I have what I’d consider above average aim, but in advanced games I still feel like I’m losing 1v1s to missed shots.
I’ve already been at a comfortable sensitivity, but i just need to be more consistent, and I’ve always struggled with coming up with good ways to practice
Is dude still playing with the kinda low motion sensitivity? If so, I might have to lower mine as well, I think since Splat 3 I suck hard xD

Just people not knowing how to play the game overall. I had an N-Zap in ranked (I believe it was Tower), who was inking every square inch of our base. I don't know if he even left out base. He was inking every little tiny bit of the floor. It's infuriating sometimes, lol
I would rather be in a higher rank and lose, knowing that I could have done better. But I'm literally stuck in B rank right now cause I keep getting paired up with people who can't play the game at all
If you're getting paired with people like that, you're also getting paired against people like that. Look more at what you can do to improve and you will get much farther than blaming your teammates
