      @@PhilsCampingReviews just bought the smaller 'M' model; looks very different 'without' the flue/damper lever, and has a slightly different design, but fits my rocket stove!

    Great review mate

    Thanks for the video mate! I wouldn’t go off advertisement photos. I doubt it glows. But if it does, they probably took it in a very dark setting and with a very expensive, slow exposure lens to catch the possibly very faint glow of the inner tubing. Something a video would not pick up on. Still a cool gadget though

    I'm confused. Winnerwell says to not allow the stove or it's components to get "red hot"

    • @PhilsCampingReviews
      @PhilsCampingReviews  Před 6 měsíci +2

      Yes they do mention that. Yet the combustion has a layer of stainless steel with tree cutouts for decoration while it glows red.

    Are you able to use other accesories like the boiler or oven above the combustion chamber?

    • @PhilsCampingReviews
      @PhilsCampingReviews  Před 5 měsíci

      I can not see any reasons why you could not.
      The water boiler and oven works of the heat produced in the chimney. The chimney still gets hot.
      The closer to the fire source the hotter it is.

      The only concern adding the boiler to that is balance...

      @@foodparadise5792 True. That could be an issue. I will try next time I set this up

    This was a 25 min video with no useful information. No info on how to clean, no info on actual heat output, no real demonstration on smoke reduction. Just a lot of rambling tbh. Btw, there is no such thing as “dirty wood”-it is green or wet wood that produces smoke.

      @PhilsCampingReviews  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I will film another video with more details and cover your suggestions.
      In regards to cleaning. I'm not sure if that's possible. Apart from just a wipe down on the outside.

    How does the heat differ from this style of fire to an open firepit ?

    • @PhilsCampingReviews
      @PhilsCampingReviews  Před 9 měsíci +2

      That's a great question. I reckon for the size fire. More heat is generated.

    its not dirty timber its because you just started it .ps more coal

    • @PhilsCampingReviews
      @PhilsCampingReviews  Před 6 měsíci

      You are correct. I’ve since found this out. The easiest way to use these is to toke your time and let the coals build up a tad before cooking with the smoker.
