AugCraft hd I don't think so. I'm from Germany and in 2010 we won the ESC. Today we got zero points and I don't think we are that much more hatred like five years ago. ;) And - to be honest - my whole family didn't liked the Lithuanian song, so maybe it was cause of the music?

I think they didn't do it, it was just Vaidas because you can hear an "Mmmm" by Monika when they are supposed to finish the kiss, and when they separate from each other, you can see that Monika is a little quiet and upset, however after some seconds she continues singing.

I felt like at first people got a kick out of the fact that one of the most distant countries will enter a contest called EUROvision. But the general acceptance was positive, mainly because you went with a very good song, something that could be on European Hit Radio right now, thinking completely out of the Eurovision box. Everyone knew it was a one time thing and were very excited to see your performance and especially your votes that would be less politically affected. We are however used to participants from outside of Europe, like Israel. In fact a few other countries that are part of EBU (European Broadcasting Union) such as Egypt and Algeria are welcome to join the contest every year but haven't done it so far.
P.S. I was so surprised and disappointed Australia gave zero points to Lithuania's performance! I thought it was so cute.

So much people told that they will vote for Lithuania, but where did they go :'(
Snorkis 1-2 people voting will not make much of a difference to the outcome. Not to mention that 50% of the final vote is jury decision.
Since the voters cannot vote for their own country, the next in line would probably be their neighbour countries. I don't know the statistics of how many people vote for their neighbours but I'd say that Sweden was favourited by most of the countries, hence why they won so it's not always about the neighbours.
Suldok I haven't said that always points are giving to neighbours, I just said that it is always in Balkan countries: Romania, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro...
Suldok The winner is never determined by the neighboring votes, that would be technically impossible in a contest with over 40 countries voting. There's always at least a couple performances that are favored wayyy before May, the general public gets on the hype ride and at the end thinks "Oh yeah s/he totally deserved to win! Look at all those countries voting oh so unitedly!"
Oi Renka I agree with you, UK, Ireland, Georgia, Norway and Dankmark aren't our neighbours and I'm happy that they even give some points and also Belarus and Poland haven't given to us any points, Estonia gave only 2 and just Latvia gave us 7, but not 8, 10, or 12, like in Balkan...

Greetings from Australia :) I was so excited to vote this time round! I watched every song and read nothing about the countries or people singing them. This was by far my favourite. They are having so much fun on the stage and I found myself smiling for the whole time. So many of my votes went to Lithuania. Loved it and was a bit sad it didn't make the top 5 but that won't stop me enjoying the heck out of this song!
