  • Todd works on loading a 113-year-old Panoram-Kodak Model 1 camera with...mixed success. The camera originally took 105 film, but Todd will be loading Kodak Portra 120. This is part two of a three part series. A following video will show the results.
The beautiful and informative site www.MikeEckman.com was incredibly helpful. Check it out.

I shouted "No, you've done it the wrong way!" and then you told me to comment, so here I am. We've all done it!

    Backwards boo-boo ouch!
I took my Mamiyaflex C2 to York for a good photographer friend of mine to try out, but forgot what the knob settings were for on the side… I thought “unlocked” was for the shutter, not remembering it was for changing the lenses and that inside the camera was a light sealed baffle to seal the film chamber while the lens was off. We had to rush around to shoot a roll on a break he took from work, with a couple of us shooting digital of him playing with it… Such a sad & sick feeling I still have when I remember the news of his blank roll when developed. He got a SLR instead of a TLR for medium format…
    Great videos! Keep ‘em coming!

Yes! Do it! I have scans and need to put the video together. My mistake loaded definitely had an impact. I need to get out and try again.

For the loading area error but that's fine you know we all got to learn somehow and sometime but they're wonderful cameras to use I have a number three and I just shot some portrait 400 through it got some really nice results so I'm still working on the spacing because I've got it count turns rather than have the back window open wonderful camera though

I definitely tried to tell you that you loaded the film in wrong through the screen, came here because you told me to comment. Great way to boost engagement though lol

Great video! Eckman comments on the spool size issue. It looks as though you didn't encounter any problems here?

A big enlarger would be needed to make prints, 5x7 at least

No doubt. You have reminded me to go out at reshoot this one since I biffed it the first time. I just shot the 1924 Graflex--developing those today and hopefully posting a video by next week.

I have a roll of Ektachrome 100 sitting right here that I'm tempted to use in the Panoram. Unfortunately, one side/direction of the shutter is sticking! I'm working with someone now on the Hidden Light discord on fixing it myself. A bit scary.

  • @animascinemaproductions

Would love to see some prints created with it!

Whoops indeed! The images have a lovely light streak across the bottom from the number window. I will try again and film the results.
