    The guy in my profile pic is my relative Rudolph Loewenstein, who was Lacan’s analyst for 6 years. Both Lacan and Loewenstein were intelligence agency assets.

    Does that mean that every intervention of the Real causes us to scramble and try to 'suture' the Symbolic order, for example by inventing entire theory of complex numbers? Is there some relationship to psychological trauma with these interventions?
