- This is a bit old animatic but I wanted to share it and hope you like it.
and this aniamatic doesn't have a deep meaning, I just wanted to make an animatic for Confrontation and I thought the song fit the Alastor

I really love this idea that Al actually has good side in deeper and regreting about life decisions. But he can't escape from himself. His evil and serial killer side which is craves for power and good person who is regretting of killing a lot people and being bastard.

there was a movie about this. kevin costner played the serial killer and there where many scenes of him arguing with his merderous ego while he tried to never kill again.
he ended up having to start killing again because he noticed his daughter got the same itch to kill but she was more sloppy about it, so he had to clean up after her.

This fits perfectly with my fanfic idea that Alastor made a deal with a demon when he was younger which causes their souls to share the same body and slowly become one soul and that the demon was the one killing the people, not Alastor.

My fanfic/reasoning for why Alastor was like “that” (YT is so weird when it comes to discussing what he did, sometimes my post vanish, sometimes they don’t) is that if you make a raw/lopsided/desperate deal with a D^ath God, you’re gonna have a bad time.
So basically he either had targets chosen for him, or if he found someone he really despised (let’s say he realized/found out some patron at one of his local Speakeasies was doing “bad things” to women) was in a blind alley or by the river or what have you, and the being he was under contract to would take the chosen mark as a sacrifice.
And if he didn’t, or he resisted (especially because the actual lore is very unconfirmed) both the “unalivings” and the “eating of one’s own kind” said god/higher spirit would have nothing wrong with just flat out threatening to end his mother’s life.
(In my fic he’s demi/demi and ends up involved with someone who is basically so tied up with the fair folk/fae that the two of them bond in their misery of the stupidity of having been desperate children and powerful forces taking advantage of that to make useful vassals.)

This is just perfect. We can assume Alastor started his career as a serial killer at a fairly young age, maybe into his 20s, though I like to think, this confrontation, is the last shred of good and humanity Alastor has, internally fighting and losing, against his inner demon. Only to die, then end up in Hell, where there’s no good in him left, only the Radio Demon. Unlike Dr Jekyll, he had no one he loved, or that truly loved him, to pull him back from the brink of madness and evil.
Maybe Charlie can bring him back? 🤷🏼♀ Perhaps even Nifty, Lucifer, or one of the others?
He was a Mama's Boy though. Although, it might be possible that she died.
@@Xoraciousyeah, i'm pretty sure his father was abusive too. I have a headcannon where alastor's dad killed al's mom through that abuse. Thats just my headcannon though
@@jjmollI have a similar one with Al’s dad being white and racist while his mom is a darker color, due to when he grew up this idea could make sense especially causes he’s depicted with light brown skin.

Imagine what Alastor must’ve been thinking when he first wound up in Hell. Man died and woke up with antlers, claws, deer ears, hooves and daggers for teeth. It would be quite a shock, to say the least. No idea how _Sir Pentious_ dealt with his complete transformation. Sinner’s thoughts as they first see their Hell forms is something I think of often.
Probably with surprise. They could die in their sleep and suddenly be awake in entirely new body that could be missing entire limbs they had in life. Additionally if the normal person’s thinks hell is like ours then there is the additional surprise of the looks. Like it is filled with crime and murder especially in the Pride ring but a lot less fire than they probably expected.
We do see the thoughts of a new sinner, mainly being, ‘Holy sh!t, I’m alive’.

I like how on the cover the twigs in living human Alastor’s hair emulate the deer antlers of his demon self.
Ahh, this takes me back. Back to the 2019-2020 days of the fandom when artists (especially animators) had this habit of portraying human!Alastor and demon!Alastor together as though they were separate entities in a deal-with-the-devil kind of way. Creepy, gruesome, and, in its own way, fun. I love the show as it is now, but I also really love the gory creativity the pilot brought out in so many people.
Sometimes I wish we could go back to that. But hey, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy what we have now, including people realizing how evil Alastor actually is. It’s bringing out its own kind of creativity and I love it.

This works with the original story! Jekyll and Hide were the same man, the potion simply changed Dr Jekyll’s appearance, all the bad things he did were all still Jekyll, but the face was Hide’s. And eventually he had to use the potion to be himself, Hide had become his true face
Wasn't Hyde all of the worst parts of Jekyll as a person? Like, it was a side of Jekyll that was pure evil, no balance, no morals, still technically him, but not exactly him.
Not quite-he had lost all of his inhibitions as well as having a changed appearance, like being drunk.
He found it so relaxing to go with the flow, at first.
But he needed his inhibitions.
@@mayaraxavier2359 the original book basically described it as a change to his appearance and due to it technically not being his own face, all the things he already desired to be like was able to come forward without consequences
@@cassandrabelyeu2419 I’ll probably have to reread it at some point, but I understood it as all those things were already there, but the change of his appearance basically became the mask in which he could do them, like keyboard warriors and people who make death threats online, but never dare say anything like that in person

Considering who Lucifer (who the song is referring to) in the show, I'd consider myself safe, all i need to get is a middle schooler and he'd bully the duck boi to depression
I think Satan is the leader of the wrath ring and he and Lucifer are different characters
The facial expressions are easily my favorite part of this
I keep coming back to this video, I personally adore this song and everything behind it (especially this part). I love the orchestra perfectly conveying the tone and Anthony Warlow's voice and how he plays the two parts, and the meaning is something personal to me. This combined with the skill in creating emotion and motive behind their faces and body positions is incredible. You don't have to know what Hazbin Hotel is to appreciate this masterpiece. I do not have the words to describe how in love I am with this piece of art! I've watched it more times than I can count over a week or two as I keep coming back to watch it.
That's so awesome, I love the idea of the killer being an something of an alternate half that won out in the end

Out of all the cool aspects of this video, why was the things that stood out to me the most was Alastor disappearing leaving his smile behind Cheshire Cat style
I like the idea of the Radio Demon kinda being a persona Alastair yoke on while he was killing but I’m not sure I’m completely on board with the whole remorse thing going on with this and the “fighting your inner demon” he doesn’t seem like the type overall amongst the best animatics I’ve seen ❤🤩
I'm pretty sure it's trying to imply that Alastor while he was alive made a deal with a demon (that he may have summoned through voodoo) that possesed him after said deal was made the demon began murdering the victims that had been belived to been murdered by Al, furthermore when he died the two kinda became one.
I kind of got a vibe of it being less "fighting the inner demon," more of the Jekyll/Hyde split of not knowing where the public face (in this case, Alastor the radio host, who probably puts on a pleasant, mild-mannered front) ends, and the monster (Alastor the unabashed killer, who enjoys what he does) begins. After all, the greater problem with Hyde was that he was careless, sloppy, and easily driven to acts of passion and thus murder...all while leading it straight back to Jekyll's door. I saw this as less of a "You monster, how dare you? I'm a _good man!"_ and more of a "Damn it, you're going to get us caught, and _I'll_ be the one hanging for it!"
This is so FRIKKIN GOOD! The song choice is brilliant, and the art captures Alastor’s more bloodthirsty sadism like yeah, there’s no doubt that this creepy bean pole of a man is a high ranking demon. It does make me giggle a bit when he says “with Satan himself by my side” and I think of Alastor and Lucifer’s petty bickering, because it’s such a 180 from what the lyrics are implying. But THEN comes the thought of the two of them on the same page and intimidating someone TOGETHER, and that is a terrifying visual. A++++++ job, 10\10, highly recommend. I watch this at least several times a week.
