I really like how music in G&B sets the right mood for each map. In Paris, Leipzig and Kaub it feels like the fight of holy and righteous, while San Sebastian endgame is full of disrepair
and Varodous Fortress is classical, the classical theme also carries over to 1812 Overture (Catacombs De Paris) and Ode to Joy (Kaub)
Kaub is basically camera going up slowly on the stairs while the climax of the music is playing. It's glorious.

I like how Kaub has a different ending than the other objective maps. In other maps, we survive so we can escape to a safe place. In Kaub, *WE ARE* the one making the safe place for other survivors. Its nice.
What if one of the next maps that will be added in the future is about the survivors of San Sebastian or Vardohus Fortress trying to make their way into Kaub for safety, and near the end, AI Bavarian Soldiers come in to stave off the undead and give the Players room to run to the end. But I do hope that the weaponry the AI would use actually does damage if that were to be the case.
@@schmeatgaming853
In my opinion, I think the ending will be that the survivors of the different maps will meet and have to hold out on either the Kaub castle or another map. Then when all hope seems lost, the Americans has come with many ships and soldiers to either rescue the survivors or reclaim Europe.
@@CJ_1406 that's a very interesting change! And there would be a cutscene of American Ships bombarding hordes of undead while other Vessels sail ashore so that Yankee troops can land. Maybe in G&B's lore, America is one of the few or maybe THE only country not to have been affected by the infection, and so have mobilized millions of Men and Materiel to liberate Europe. Just as they will again and again a few centuries later. But since there hasn't been any maps located in Russia, maybe America and Russia are the only two countries that don't have undead shamblers walking about, and it'll be up to the two Superpowers to free Europe from the Devil's Curse.
But wouldn't be interesting if we were to fight more than zombies in the future? Lorewise, as America and Russia push deeper into Europe and Liberate more and more countries and Empires, they discover supernatural entities such as Demons that have been responsible for the infection as a whole. The War is no longer a fight for survival, it is a Sacred War. And it is up to the Eagle and the Bear, as well as their Allies to banish the evils of Hell from God's earth, and to restore balance once again.
The Holy War of 1812 shall be known as the Largest and most Desperate War mankind has ever been in.

One of the few maps where the players take, defend, and reclaim a location, rather than escaping it
Apart from endless maps it is the only one. Did you notice that there is water on each other when escaping? (San Sebastian and Catacombs small boat, Vardohus Big ship, Leipzig river...)
@@jelenak1113 its cuz deep water must be a block for zombies and also for the ships it was the quickest way to move then so
Their is a few ways to interpret this ending. More likely, we will use the river and the pontoon bridges to move the army across to support what evers left. Interestingly, this could also be a means of retreat for the Prussians and the army.
@@shellcaseshellcase6073they said make way for the prussian army and the city is filled with zombies so it's more plausible we are a small reconnaissance force that was sent to secure a head of operations base for the army and kaub is located in south Germany not prussian territory Prussia is located in the northern part of Germany if they were retreating we most likely be in prussian territory which we are not
We actually take the castle as a safe place and the bridge goes down so zombies cannot follow us, therefore the supplies we brought are reasonable to bring as we will stay in the castle for the rest of apocalypse.

The setup is amazing, leipzig a german somewhat french town plays a harmonic church theme before exiting through the map and surviving the cemetery undead horde, i like how they chose ode to joy on a german map, because the song is sang in a german opera tounge exibiting bheetovens art, and remember bheetoven cannot hear what he plays, he can only think of what they hear, thus rendering bheetoven one of the best music makers.

I do like this description and agree to it at some extent, but imo all of the other objective maps, to me atleast, feel like a rush for survival, to either escape by boat or across a river. Kaub is the only one to me that feels like humanity are finally fighting back against the zombies, clearing the fortress and out and making it secure.
The ending song is "The Final Push"
This maybe out of topic (and maybe cringe, i think?...), but "Ode to Joy" to me always have been associating with the idea of humanity uniting (in some sort of way) to overcome the greater obstacle than themselves. No matter what side you were on, but you gotta stick with your "new friends". Yeaaa, I tried to describe what I think about this melody as best as I could, not to mention that I'm atrocious at explaining anything even when I speak on my first language. 💀

This is the only battle in this game that humanity is going truly wins. All other maps that isn’t sleepy hollow is you fleeing from a lost battle or escaping from an incoming horde, this is you clearing out a city full of infected and raising your flag over the battlefield. You actually won the battle here.
Winter - The Four Seasons (Vardohus): Tense and uncertainty of biding time until the ship arrives, also fits the winter setting
Facing the Inevitable (San Sebastian): A sense of uncertainty and dramaticness knowing that one of you have to die for the rest of your comrades; you fight on endless waves of zombies as the lifeboat, so close and in sight, slowly approaches.
1812 Overture (Catacombs): An epic tune as it feels like the souls of all of civilians and soldiers alike, both French and foreign, cheer you on as you defend civillian refugees in their attempt to flee and fight for the City of Lights from being extinguished for one final time, before triumphantly reaching safety in the riverboat.
Ode to Joy (Kaub): A song of determination, glory, heroism, and righteousness as you wipe out the zombies in the castle one by one, securing it for other armies. It is as if the heavens themselves errupt into a joyous chorus as man takes arms for their King and crusades into a just, holy battle against what is literally the damned. The song fits even more as the imposing threat on human existence finally unites mankind as one - an unstoppable, brotherly force

Blücher was born in Rostock, the son of a retired army captain. His military career began in 1758 as a hussar in the Swedish Army. He was captured by the Prussians in 1760 during the Pomeranian Campaign and thereafter joined the Prussian Army, serving as a hussar officer for Prussia during the remainder of the Seven Years' War. In 1773, Blücher was forced to resign by Frederick the Great for insubordination. He worked as a farmer until the death of Frederick in 1786, when Blücher was reinstated and promoted to colonel. For his success in the French Revolutionary Wars, Blücher became a major general in 1794. He became a lieutenant general in 1801 and commanded the cavalry corps during the Napoleonic Wars in 1806.
War broke out between Prussia and France again in 1813 and Blücher returned to active service at the age of 71. He became a leading hero of the Germans in the struggle to end foreign domination of their lands. He was appointed full general over the Prussian field forces and clashed with Napoleon at the Battles of Lützen and Bautzen. Later he won a critical victory over the French at the Battle of Katzbach. Blücher commanded the Prussian Army of Silesia at the Battle of the Nations where Napoleon was decisively defeated. For his role, Blücher was made a field marshal and received his title of Prince of Wahlstatt. After Napoleon's return in 1815, Blücher took command of the Prussian Army of the Lower Rhine and coordinated his force with that of the British and Allied forces under the Duke of Wellington. At the Battle of Ligny, he was severely injured and the Prussians retreated. After recovering, Blücher resumed command and joined Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo, with the intervention of Blücher's army playing a decisive role in the final allied victory.
Blücher was made an honorary citizen of Berlin, Hamburg and Rostock. Known for his fiery personality, he was nicknamed Marschall Vorwärts ("Marshal Forward") by his soldiers because of his aggressive approach in warfare.[1] Along with Paul von Hindenburg, he was the most highly decorated Prussian-German soldier in history: Blücher and Hindenburg are the only Prussian-German military officers to have been awarded the Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross. A statue once stood in the square that bore his name, Blücherplatz, in Breslau (today Wrocław).[2]

Probably one of my favourite missions so far. The fact that you actually defend a lost cause castle, while this banger of a classical song plays just feels great.
_As you approach Pfalzgrafenstein Castle and destroy the drawbridge, most of it has been overrun by cannibals. You have taken significant losses before the pontoon bridge you cross made by those before you in the castle. As your men, mix of Prussians, Austrians, Russians, and Bavarians clear the castle, some push the cart and defend the bottom section of the castle. Your men march to the top of the tower and meet Feldmarschall Blücher. He has been infected, skin turned gray, bloody bandage on his arm, coughing up blood. He knows he doesn't have much time left. There you meet the surviving soldiers of 1. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß and their officer tending to Blücher, thinking he just have a very bad cold. He gives you the key to the cellar. He and his men had suffered severe casualties when that door busted open. They managed to lock it but at the cost of many lives. He orders you to finish this for Prussia, as this is the last safezone and territory of Prussia in the Confederation of the Undead. Soon, Blücher turns and kills the officer, you are forced to shoot him. As your men open the cellar, the bottom floor quickly fills with cannibals. They managed to escape behind your Sapper's Walls. Your Navymen and Rankers fire non stop through the smoke of Gunpowder. The thick smoke makes visibility almost zero. But your men somehow holds them off. The floor of the tower is filled with lead and dead bodies. Your Drummers and Fifers play Hohenfriedberger Marsch, the one Frederick the Great made. Some Rankers help defend the floor alongside your Sappers. However you get pushed back. Never in your life you have seen men die in such a short time. The barricades fall, forcing you to retreat halfway up. You order your men to charge to prevent you from getting trapped. The sound of your Cry and the Bugle from Blücher's regiment fills the room. Soon the Castle has been cleared. Your men on the bottom floor helped fend off the undead outside, preventing them from flanking your men from the door connected to the tower. As soon as the Cellar has been cleared. You raise the flag of Prussia, "Ehre sei Preußen! (Glory be to Prussia!)" you say. As you wait for reinforcements from other isolated Prussian regiments, you all live to fight for another day..._

Just got the best gaming experience in g&bp. After we open the keys to the Cellars, I sacrifice mysepf to open the door deep within the cellars. Lucky, a priest help me escape. Many died thorough the attack. It was only me, the priest and two officers charging at the zombie forces while 2 musketeers help assist at the top. Near the end, of of the musketeers accidentally fell to his death while the priest that saved me got blown up by a bomber. While all hope loss, the Austrian officer activated his last charge ability which was a life saver for all of us, it even gave me the "give them steel" badge. After killing the last zombie, only 2 out of the total 18 died. The Austrian officer got chopped by an axe by a zombie. I barely survived as i was basically 1 hp and a bavarian musketeer escaped barely harmed. Wth a sense of respect, the bavarian allowe me to flag the pole, saying that i deserved it more.
Is quite rare for me to get this fun in roblox but this is easily a roblox memory.
This song makes my feel like I’m truly in the friekorps
The bassoons that come in at 0:45 are just beautiful.
Beehtoven sure liked his bassoons
He is deaf
@@boygarcia7933yeah we know he was deaf by the time he wrote his 9th
@@grayrobber did he just edited his comment? I swear, I saw him saying he sure like his music or idk what he said days ago🥴🥴🥴🥴🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐😴😴😴😴😴😴😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

When Human finally starts working together to overcome their biggest threat
According to the lore the Napoleonic wars stopped to erase the plague trough europe
The (very dark) sight of seeing the zombies in the basement hallway, the horde slowly concquering the stairs, all the barricades falling, your men dying, burning, geting blown up, getting eaten, while Ode to Joy setting the mood.
had a cracked kaub lobby so much that when we got pushed back to about halfway up the stairs we actually started to push back down the stairs and REGAIN ground
Type of music that plays when you and your team are fighting zombies in a staircase
I would love to see an objective map based in the Alps, perhaps in Austria or Switzerland, that uses In The Halls of The Mountain King. I love the use of classical pieces at the end of the objective maps, it adds to the thrill.
cant let gang know i fw this heavy😭🙏🙏
I will always remember Blücher and his officer. 😭😭😭😭
I like how everyone can miss all the barrels and not covering the sappers for rebuilding 💀
ngl after i won kaub in 1 life and heard the full melody i almost dropped a tear after experiencing such a masterpiece
3:48 the guys exploding after saying "for God" makes it look like he was doing a suicide bombing lol
Fun fact: the saying “They are corrupt, their deeds are vile” comes from the Bible verse Psalm 14:1
Been waiting for so long for them to release ode to joy music
They always had it. When a match is over it plays.
@@user-ue5ix7my7ithe full music I meant
I already knew Ode to Joy would be one of the last stand songs for this map
I love playing priest on this map. It feels so good to push the entire horde back.
The ending of Kaub feels so much longer than 4 minutes, especially when you're being consistently pushed back by the zombies.
It's probably because of spawn limits or something but it's still super intense.
I feel like the ending could’ve been better after clearing out the castle
I personally think it fits quite well. After you and your comrades clear the last zombie from the castle you are finally safe again... even though you are tired you still do one more thing. Raise the flag and shout that kaub has won the battle...
3:28 the zombis r pushin now
The buildup to choir is arguably the best part of the song
Man everytime there's music like this in every escape in other maps feels like that all of us were being eaten by zombies and defeat
Best final fight in the game definitely.
so i made one first then a radom person i wanted to hear ur recording because mines VERY VERY BAD because it sounds so nice i can see it finally :D
I like how it's just the clasicsl music meanwhile in the background it's just explosions
Once I had a kaub hardcore match that pushed the zombies back into the basement. We didn’t lose a step of the stairs.
“RISE, MY PROUD PRUSSIANS! WE FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN, THE GREAT FALLEN, THE COURAGEOUS FALLEN! THEIR MEMORY SERVES AS AN EXAMPLE TO US ALL BECAUSE WE, THE LIVING, REFUSE TO FORGET THEM! AND WE TRUST OUR SUCCESSORS TO DO THE SAME, BECAUSE MY SOLDIERS DO NOT BUCKLE OR YIELD WHEN FACING THE CRUELTY OF THIS WORLD! MY SOLDIERS CRY OUT, MY SOLDIERS SCREAM, MY SOLDIERS RAGE! TOGETHER WE FIGHT, TO PROTECT OUR GROUND AGAINST THOSE WHO ARE UNJUST TO PROTECT THOSE WHO RELY ON US! COME, MY SOLDIERS. WE FIGHT FOR OUR MOTHERS AND WIVES, WE FIGHT FOR HERR FRIEDMARSCHALL’S SACRIFICE, AND WE FIGHT, FOR PRUSSIA!”
Attack on titans X guts and blackpower😂
“Has god punished us enough?”.
dam that hits (one of the lines in the menu of guts and blackpowder)
What about “There’s no light at the end of the tunnel.”
@@grayrobber true
"We are ready to face the inevitable"
"I cry by day, But you do not answer"
First one makes a lot of sense due to the title of the ending music at San Sebastian.
Second one errr... Maybe it means that the soldiers cry to god to save them, Yet he does not answer?
@@Thatonelivingsweaterthey are corrupted, their deeds are vile.... it makes though
“It’s Blackpowdering Time”
I love how on Kaub you fight for every single step with all you got, hoping to hold the undead off for a tad bit longer.
I can still hear to this day the sound of people falling from the stairs unto the horde and the almost instantly get put out of this world by her fellow soldier
Kaub ended the bloody San Sebastian curse... For now.
And now it will take the San Sebastián curse heritage
What san Sebastian curse?
@@gatoconstrutor9101 San Sebastián is always picked instead of other maps and no matter how many you lose, they will keep choosing it.
