One of the main goals of my trip was Omuta, because I just could 🤣
There is no anything important in Omuta and the only special food here is some manjyu cake. But it was raining and so why not walk?
I walked from Suwa river to the station Omuta. Found squashed frog and funny caterpillar like from Alice in Wonderland. Soaked pretty much upto my underwear and spent like that 7 hours in train and shinkansen.

This is what I do with Google Earth when I'm feeling kinda bored and fed up. I specifically find a small random Japanese town or small city and just coast around residential areas to get a feel for life in Japan.

The huge amount of respect the Japanese have for both public and private spaces, a philosophy of life itself and living with others and keeping things clean and orderly and taking care with every single thing you do, from building roads and houses, to picking up the trash, to driving through town - I ENVY IT. It may just be enough to cause me to move to Japan after university and settle down there forever. Not even mentioning my love for anime/manga and other parts of Japanese pop culture (and culture in general).
I like this one, I enjoy the more rural walks that really show off the japanese culture, topography (I haven't seen a landscape quite like Japan's anywhere else) and makes you think "wow, this is japan"
Right?! This certainly takes you far beyond the overhyped “top 10 blah blah” places in Tokyo videos
The garbage disposal service is as efficient as ever I see.
I notice that no matter where you are in Japan whether it is a big city, a small city, a town and the rural countryside there is beautiful greenery. So serene and peaceful all the time.Thank you for bringing peace into this world :)

The name alone was enough to get a like from me. This was a great walk. From a very country setting to a city that has clearly seen better days, at least from the rather large amount of abandoned and decaying buildings. I loved being greeted by the friendly sanitation worker and seeing the truck driver back up a hill while avoiding several obstacles. Those were some mad skills. Thanks for this video, but do stay warm!

0:38 That's a hornworm. It's the larva of a hawk moth. I don't know the Japanese species, though. Some of their relatives here in the US keep eating my tomato plants.

Your videos take me back to Japan and is such a strong feeling that I feel the things I used to when walking around aimlessly and trying to get lost just to be able to speak with natives.
I don't know what it is, but although living there can be hard for a foreigner, I hold dear every corner of the Japan I saw. Thank you for taking me back there.

I loved that part. Where I live, garbage trucks are extremely noisy, and the operators usually shout profanities at 5am.

Sometimes, all we want is walking around for no reason, but it's not always possible found a quiet and beautiful place like this one. Definitely one of my favourite videos.

The middle of the US has been rainy most of this week, too. Nothing too strong, thankfully. I prefer slow, gentle storms to loud downpours, anyway. Rain is relaxing, so I'm using this video to relax myself after a hard day of working outside!
Cold and wet weather does not make anyone sick. Sick people make people sick. Avoid sick people and you will never get sick. Of course, this can be difficult since certain bacteria and viruses can last on surfaces for sometimes days or weeks. One inconsiderate jerk sneeze without covering their mouth can contaminate a large area. Touch any contaminated surface and touch your mouth/nose/eyes/food you eat without washing your hands properly and you may just get sick. The reason it "seems" that cold weather makes people sick is that people spend more time indoors during cold weather, around other people, who may or may not be sick. If every single human on the planet could cooperate for one single year to avoid getting other people sick, the flu would likely go extinct. When I see someone sneeze without properly covering their mouth and nose, I want to hurt them. If anyone ever sneezes ON me, I will likely break their nose. That's the American in me. If you're going to make me suffer with a sickness because of you being inconsiderate, I will make you suffer.
If Rambalac was in an anime he'd already be sneezing and well into a serious cold with fever, lol.
