Adu-gyamfi James Lua means Moon and it’s sort of a lullaby hyped up with the intoxicating rhythm they’ve added ❤️. I speak Spanish and can make out most of her Portuguese. She’s asking the moon to stay with her and fill her with calmness. Coincidentally, she was born in Cuba and taken to her parents’ native, Cape Verde as a baby. It’s Afro music / sounds that’s been spread around the world and influenced so many around the world.

@@8201allbrl she speak Kriolo not portuguese, Kriolo is from Cabo-verde it’s similar to Guiné-Bissau Kriolo because they like “cousins”, they are descendants of Guiné-Bissau 🇬🇼, Portugal 🇵🇹 and other ethnic groups!

@@Hung895 kriolu is very easy to learn if you speak one of the romance languages. French language is one of the romance language and it should be easier for you if u try hard.
Portuguese and Spanish are easier than French if u trying to learn kriolu, but it is still way harder if u don't speak none .
I speak English, kriolu, Portuguese, Spanish and French is the only one t hat i don't. I took it in 5th grade, but never continued with it, so i forgot lots of stuff, but still remember some .
French is the language i want to be fluent in in a couple of years.
But if u really want to learn kriolu, go for it. Try to get some cape verdean friends, or girlfriend would be easier 😄

@@amariza21 Yes I listen (Jennifer Soledade,Maria Andrade ,Lura,Sara Tavares,Dino de Santiago, GAITTA FERRO!! lol ) and I know some fews lyrics, but I don't travel a lot and have no capverdian friend....unfortunately..!

My God, black culture is so one, you have exactly the rythmic beats in Ivory Coast West Africa called Zouglou
Cape Verde is also in West Africa. We are influenced by the music from Ivory Coast as well.
Could say the same for music in Bahia, Brasil, lots of influence from black cultura, which arrived during colonization. Although that was 500 hundred years ago, the music sounds so similar you can tell they're from the same wumb.
