I stopped playing cs2 after the first 2 weeks because of how bad the cheating problem is. Glad to see valve have done pretty much nothing about it. at this point you really have to wonder what they stand to gain from not implementing a functioning anti-cheat.
If playercount continue to drop at this rate they will eventually be forced to do something

There is still some hope as many innocent players being banned could be a sign that valve are working on the anticheat but something might have gone wrong

I played premier three days ago, played three games and all three games there was a wall hacker and they don’t even try to hide it anymore, the sad part was one of them had multiple green service medal badges + a over 5,000$ inv, I asked the guy in chat why and he said “no one gets banned anymore so why not?” 😅

I got a cheater in the enemy team. Then my one teammate started using Anti-aim.
And that enemy cheat was so frustrated he started complaining. That was actually fun to watch.
Valve should just add Anti-aim in VAC. If you are hacking you can't aim player 😅

When he peeks to kill the guy with Antiaim he couldn't look at him and he was aiming at the ground or sky 😂
After getting to 17.5k (5% at the time) and the rest of my lobbies being filled with 22k elo players every game, it turned to HvH, and if not cheating it was vs Finnish 5 stacks of 2500 elo faceit players. MM is pointless in current state. Faceit only for me now, the same story as CS:GO, thanks valve.
It's already getting to the point where as soon as you die you think it's a cheater before thinking they outplayed you.

A serious error that Valve has not yet corrected is when you are facing the opponent and you both shoot at each other but if the enemy's bullet hits me first, mine simply disappears and does not cause a hit! Imagine you head shoot and your opponent also head shoots you at the same time but you have 5ms delay in relation to him, you die and he leaves unharmed because the bullet disappears!!

It’s weird since I used to play in sea cs go server during Covid and we had a hacker almost every other game. One game it got so bad I was the only one who wasn’t hacking in the entire lobby. I no longer play as much cs as I used to and only play with 5 stack and have only seen a hacker once.

SO TRUE! like their accounts have 1 medal or hardly any medal at all and only 1 coin or 2. Motherfkers move like headless chickens but kills like some higher level player in deathmatches. Due to lack of community servers the DM experience is just bad and trust me it was not like that in csgo the valve deathmatch server i mean.
came up against a rage hacker in comp the other day. He was getting bent over all first halve finishing like 6 and 9 (halve his deaths were me running him down with XM), he then rage toggles in the second halve, finishes with 38 kills and is just Bhopping everywhere jaun deaging everyone.

The last faceit game i played was 4v5 with a bot which we tied with a comback, guess what happened with the switch?. Our bot stayed and never switched with us. It became a 6 v4 🤣. It'd been a few month since i played on faceit and won't be for a while lol

I've gotten 3 games with blatant cheaters (magic bullet from spawn tier level) in the last 2 days lol. One of them had 3 separately queued cheaters and it turned into a battle of wills where the ct-side player would lock down the t-side spawn and force the timer to run out each round. Very difficult to have any faith in the other matches when you get a game with 30% of the random selection of players either flagrantly cheating or having them installed (even if only to counter-cheat). How many stealth cheaters are there?
They are even in Deathmatch, saw 2 definite cheaters in one DM game yesterday. Completely ridiculous. 🤯🤪

Ban waves are much more effective than banning the account straight away. This way the people who create the cheating software find it much harder to discover how they are getting banned. Whereas that's much easier to figure out and evolve if they get banned immediately

Just yesterday my friends and I got absolutely fucked by an obvious wallhacker who had 40 frags in the end. His movement and spray control were extremely bad, but somehow he was the best player in the world... 👀
To be honest, in my opinion there is no anti-cheat in this game. That's why I play it less and less, I just get angry and I don't get any pleasure from it, even if I want to leave such a match with a cheater, I can't because I will get a penalty...
First bans are quite short but they affect your prime score so you would end up with bad people.

about the same elo as you in NA, 5/6 games had cheaters yesterday, 2/6 were blatant, and the one game I had without cheaters I won, lol

The real "issue" is automatic matchmaking. Back in 1.x days, pre ToGC WoW, pre Sc2 period, cheating and bad behavior meant to risk your reputation. Something you build over years of deliberate interaction with other people. When there's a free-to-play game with a match behind a couple of button presses, there's little to no incentive to not behave like a complete moron. CS, WoW, and Sc to a lesser extent. I experienced this "destruction of communities" in all of these games after the automatic group/match finder had been implemented. Robust local communities, moviemaking communities, local leagues and ladders, and the overall behavior of anyone in these games went completely off the rails. It's just a price we pay for the convenience of automated matchmaking.

Wow, that feels really sad for me. I am more like a new Player. Played some years ago CSGO a little and now want to dive deep into CS2. But with this tremendous hacker problem, is it really worth to play competitive?
There are no cheaters under 20k elo, don't worry about it, enjoy the game and avoid reddit.
If you find somebody suspect then watch the replay, you could learn a thing or two from watching better players play

I'm hoping that maybe.. just maybe.. they're trying to fix the actual game before the cheats? Maybe the tickrate set them back, so once they get it spot on and everything functioning the way it should be functioning.. then maybe we start seeing consistent ban waves.. so these cheaters.. actually have to start checking everyday.. whether or not the cheats they're using have been detected. once you start forcing people to have to check.. the cheaters will drop drastically. but right now, i dont even know if any of the newer cheats have been detected.. i think people are just downloading whatever pops up first when they google 'cs2 cheats' and because none of these newer cheats have been put into the database.. theres no nothing. and then.. i heard about this ban wave where they had to unban people.. i quit prolly a month ago. ive played counter-strike for over 20 years.. I even played in leagues back in the day, against some of the top players in the world. I know whats possible and what isnt possible.. and yeah, id say a good 70-80% of people are walling. the amount of times ive hard rushed a bomb site.. that we hadnt rushed before... and then theres a pre molotov. do people know thats not realistic? like if you havent thrown a molotov all game.. and then 5 of us rush the site.. and you pre molly.. yeah you're cheating. those are the things i look for, i dont care about someone shooting me in the face.. cool.. it happens. but when they keep doing it over and over and over.. more consistently than pro players.. thats not realistic. and then of course.. you'll kill these same people in later rounds.. and they'll be running around like a bot.. but then when they toggle back on.. its just instant death for you. the game is in shambles.. it was a huge part of my life growing up.. sitting on mIRC, refreshing gotfrag... these kids nowadays have 0 respect for anything.. I'd even bet.. these kids playing CS for the first time.. dont even play the game naturally.. they probably install cheats with it, the very first time playing it.. because they're such low IQ individuals they cheat at everything they do. so until this stops, plenty of good single player titles out.. and make no mistake this isnt just a problem in CS2.. its Valorant.. its Apex Legends.. I tried to play Valorant in hopes of avoiding cheaters... yeah pretty much every game in valorant has someone using walls as well. its so weird to me why people even enjoy it.. i wouldnt enjoy that.. id be like oh look i won a game using cheats.. how satisfying... not.. so yeah if i were you guys id stay away from CS2 and basically anything with a leaderboard.. these games are filled to the brim with cheaters who think they're gonna make money because people think they're good. they dont understand nobody gives 2 shits unless you goto LAN and start winning big tournaments. if CS2 holds online tournaments.. I will be livid.. you cannot have online tournaments when everyone in your game is cheating.. then you're gonna be paying out hackers. keep it on LAN.. and you're gonna find out how bad it is.. when the top 100 people in the world, arent even on a team that plays in tournaments. LOL

Played a Mirage comp. for fun. Top frag was 20 - 0 if not more. Watched him a bit and it was obvious he was cheating. I said "cheating or smurf? I am leaning towards cheating" Tried to kick him and my team said that it was "unwarranted" and kicked me.

Just report, take the free win and check replay just to make sure they were cheating

vac? what about competitive maps? im silver 2 on ancient, but play against unranked dudes with over 2k hours, global elite they say they are and make over 30 kills in a game. this is every game, every time. very nice feeling for newbies of CS2 to be playing agains elite all the time

bob setting is missing, cl_righthand is missing, shots still feels off with some weapons (usp is prime example) due to subtick, movement is awful, community map browser is still not inside the game, crouch on toggle is still bugged, they just found another exploit where workshop maps have full panorama access (aka your inventory), smokes are not consistent on the edges, shotungs are still godlike broken and FPS are still massively impacted when smokes and water are involved (especially for amd users). Oh yeah don't forget about people getting banned for having high DPI
